“Attentive Service, Clean Room, Handy Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our trip and chose Antica Locanda after reading reviews here and elsewhere, together with its price and proximity to Cadorna station and the Malpensa Express. We did not plan to see The Last Supper on this trip, but this B&B couldn't be more than a 30 second walk to it. The staff was exceedingly friendly, the room, which overlooked the courtyard, wasn't huge, but it was fine for us and very clean. Breakfast included cereals, cornetti, fruit, yogurt, and several items which changed daily, from ham and cheese sandwiches to an artichoke tart. And real, made-on-the-spot cappuccino. We found it easy to use the Metro to get to the Duomo and other areas. And also found good walking away from the city center and out Corso Magenta toward Corso Vercelli for shopping and the Mercato Comunale. If the location suits you, don't hesitate to stay here.

We could stay in this hotel only for one night, but would like to stay longer. Located in a very quite and beautiful backyard, one minute away from Leonardos last Supper, walkable from the dome it is a perfect city hotel. The whole hotel is designed with a great love to details with beautiful antique furniture. The staff is very friendly. It is perfectly reachable from the train station which brings you directly to Malpensa Airport.

This the closest hotel to the Santa Maria Grazia if you plan to see the Last Supper. As well as walk to the Milan castle or take the metro to the city center. The enterance to the hotel is via inside yard and through a door on the street. If the door is locked (early in th morning, or after 18.00) either push the button or use the key you get. Classical music and a warm wellcome when you come in. Family hotel with a calm atmosphere. The bed is a bit old but comfortable. Small shower, stylish decoration and 3 chocolate treats. Can eat on ground level outside in an inner garden. Breakfast is served on first floor. Had some vegetables, fruit, yogurt, cereal, scrambled egg, with hot dogs and zuccinni slices, all cut and shaped like pizza slices, juice, hot drinks made to order.

The garden room is just lovely. I had this room for the first night of my stay. I had booked the single room, but needed to come a day early, so they fit me in. Transferred to the small single room for the next day. It has everything you need, but is very small. Considering that all I wanted to do in the room was shower and sleep, it was suitable. Right on the #16 tram line which takes you to the Duomo, and one minute walk to the Church of Santa Maria Dell Grazie, where Leonardo's "Last Supper" is. Walking distance to several restaurants, cafe's, gelati bar, and pharmacy. 15 min walk from Cardorna station where the Malpensa express can take you to/from the airport for €11 euro each way pp. great location to stay for a day or two on arrival to Italy. Strongly reccomend you try some Milano aperitivo bars for dinner - a combibation of drinks and anti-pasto dishes.

Arrived early afternoon, greeted by Mario, who was very nice. As for the single room , it was very small as well as the bathroom, but very clean. You get a set of keys , one to open the main door of the gate to enter the hotel , one for your room, and the other is for the safe in the room. The hotel is a one minute walk to to Leonardo Da Vinci's Last Supper and a 10 - 15 minute walk to the Duomo area. Would reommend this hotel.

High ceilings and shutters. A cute small breakfast lounge on first floor that doubles up as a bar. A courtyard garden too. Mario was very welcoming and friendly.
Chose as it is a stone's throw from leonardo da Vinci's painting of The Last Supper. Not disappointed. It was recommended in Lonely Planet & we recommend he hotel too.
We booked a triple room with extra bed which has en suite & tv. Big not squashed up like in Rome. Lots of room for cases and shoes.
Air conditioned and centrally heated. Set back from road in an alley off a coutyard.

Room Tip: No pool or fitness centre.

We had 2 rooms and the air-conditioner just circulates air but does NOT COOL. Shower water also low pressure. No internet connection in room only in reception area. Adjourning building facing garden is under construction so you would not be able to sleep past 8:00 without noise. All of the above is a shame because this would otherwise be a lovely B & B. Owner is nice and helpful, tastefully decorated clean rooms, good continental breakfast and it also has a lift so you don’t have to walk up steps. Excellent location if you are visiting “The Last Supper”.
