“The Castle with 9 museums!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

This is quite an impressive place...unfortunately not all the museums were accessible when I visited as they were renovating, but we spent 4 full hours exploring. And the grounds are enormous. There are ruins and archaeological pieces too (from Roman times I think?). Make sure you get the audio for full advantage.

“Good for Photos.”

The castle is very nice for taking photos and walking around, you can go there walking 15 minutes from the Cathedral.

“Perfect! Must see in Milan!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013 via mobile

The castle’s defences were designed by Leonardo da Vinci; Napoleon later drained the moat and removed the drawbridges. This immense red-brick castle was home to the Sforza dynasty that ruled Renaissance Milan. Today, it shelters a series of specialised museums. - One of them has Michelangelo's very last piece of work, a sculpture which he did not finish.
An amazing place to visit!

“A great place to spend a few hours”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

Castelo Sforzesco is a good place to while away a few hours exploring the very good collections of art, antique musical instruments, armour, weapons, and other items of historical interest. Extremely good value for money considering the entry fee was only 3 Euors, I think this is one of Milans better places for a visitor to experience.

“What a surprise”

We didn´t know what to expect and it was really nice. The park behind the Castle is wonderful and it is worth a pleasant walk.
