“Great stay in a beautiful city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013

Enjoyed every aspect of this hotel.

Good fitness facilities (although little air movement), great breakfast buffets, very comfortable beds, nice extra touches.

Flowers in the room (at a fee) were beautiful. Shopping over our daughters birthday was extravagant. The bar after touring and shopping had a few killer concoctions that Ivan whipped up to mellow us right out.

Had to pay to watch a Champions League game which was disappointing.

Also, be aware that parking is off site and surprisingly pricey. I had discussed this beforehand but unfortunately was still charged for it as we departed. No worries, fantastic stay and would highly recommend.

We stayed here because it is vey close to our friend's home and was pleasantly surprised that it was a new small R&C hotel so convenient for us as we are R&C members. When I booked online directly with the hotel, they responded immediately and offered a rate including breakfast and tax to make it easy for us. The communication in English was perfect! I wanted tickets to the Last Supper tour and Dariana stayed on top of the online site and alerted me, and arranged for the purchase! This was 5 star service and I hadn't even arrived yet! When we arrived, everyone of the staff greeted us kindly, professionally and welcoming! We were a bit earlier than normal check-in, but the room was ready in about 30 minutes after we arrived. We had a delicious, nicely served lunch as we waited. The room was very comfortable, tall ceilings, very comfortable bedding and a beautiful bathroom. The water pressure is great, the bathtub is comfortable and they read our requests of extra pillows and a clock and they were already in the room! It was quiet with our big windows looking into a courtyard but still bright. Most of all, the Air-conditioning worked great and was extremely quiet....this is an important thing for an American! I will stay here every time I come to Milan, hands down! BTW, the breakfast is beyond great!!

My husband and I stayed here during our visit to Milan. The hotel is beautiful and we loved everything about it. The location is perfect, just outside the main tourist area, but only a short 10 min walk to most things. The staff were friendly and helpful with dinner reservations and recommendations. The room, although small for a suite, was very well appointed. The room and bath were updated and high quality with all the amenities I look for while at a hotel-, robes, slippers, towel warmer, water bottles, and weather report to name a few. We liked all the different lighting options in the room, so you could set the mood exactly how you wanted. It was so nice to come to Europe and enjoy a comfortable bed and pillow! We normally stay at nice 4 star hotels, but it is so difficult to find ones with comfortable beds in Europe. I actually got some sleep in this hotel. Lastly, we enjoyed a few drinks in the hotel bar. The drinks were good, but the snacks provided with drinks were even better. All around, great place to stay.

We have been at this hotel in February 2013. We simply loved it. They are child-friendly, chic and provide excellent service. Our 3 year old son loved this experience too.

The food is excellent - breakfast is really nice and you are never rushed (even if you go down somewhat late). Dinner is also lovely. Prices are not low, but to be honest, that is our experience on the whole of Milan.

The room was lovely, playful, with a lot of attention to detail.

All the services that we needed were of very high quality - reception booked whatever we needed, waiting staff in the restaurant were extremely helpful, Concierge was extremely nice, we got help with the pushchair all the time and with unloading things and bags from the car.

We could not have asked for a better treat!

I had chosen this hotel because i love Chateau hotels and liked the design of the hotel on the website.

When I arrive with my fiancé, we are totally amazing.

The hotel upgraded our room to junior suite, and there was lottery for all the hotel guest.

I got a free mini bar for the day we stay. That was awesome.

I wish my wedding can be plan it here in 2013, hope the dream can come true.

I had chosen this hotel because i love Relais and Chateau hotels and liked the design of the hotel on the website (and in person to be honest). The lovely design is where the hotels charm stops.
The hotel is nicely decorated with a lovely lobby and we were greeted nicely by the hotel manager and given two good restaurant suggestions for lunch and dinner which were very nice. This is where the charm stops. Here is why i would never return to this hotel:

1. It is next to a soup kitchen which makes the street near to the hotel packed and uncomfortable at mid-day

2. We asked the night front desk man for a good suggestion for a group of 30 year olds (we went with a couple) to sit and have a nice cocktail at a sophisticated lounge. He was very sure of himself and wrote down a bar and the area which it was in. We asked how far we would have to walk once we get out of the cab and he said 100 metres and your there. The cab arrived at the hotel and the driver spoke no english and didn't understand where to go. When we asked the front door staff to help they basically left us sitting in the cab. The cab driver finally got it and then we got to the place it was a lot further then 100 metres and was full of what looked like students and some rowdy 20 somethings. AWFUL! What kind of front deskman of a 5 star hotel suggests that???

3. The next day we sat in the lobby bar to have drinks, after waiting 15 minutes we requested someone to help us and after waiting another 10 we had to ask again. When the server finally came he wasn't very friendly. I ordered a tea which was rather expensive but i expected it to be a pot of full leaf tea, which they usually serve in fine hotels, well....i was wrong. The tea was just a tea bag. for the amount of money they charge this is OUTRAGEOUS!

4. We asked them to call a taxi for 15:30, did they do it? No of course not, i had to ask them again.

5. We asked them to tell us the express trains time for our route. She told me they go 15:58 and 16:28. We left to get there to catch the 15:58, well that was a mistake because the train was going at 16:25, there was no such thing as 15:58. So once again the hotel gave us the wrong information.

6. I also heard alot of noises at night, not sure what that was coming from.

In conclusion. I would never stay at this hotel again and if i was Relais and Chateau i would take my name off of this hotel. I am being very generous in giving this hotel 3 stars because i do believe they are trying to make it a success, but there is definitely alot of work to be done.
