“Excellent Value for Money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

I stayed at the hotel last week. I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Although not perfect in every sense of the word I was impressed. The higlights were: 1.Neat and clean room. 2. A reasonable yet not lavish breakfast. 3. Exceptional, outstanding helpful front desk, particularly the lady by the name of Tiziana. She went out of her way to help me find a tour, a station, a taxi. She even helped me find a store to have my Italian made camera tripod repaired. She was as enthusiastic about my sightseeing as I was. She is the epitomy of professionlism. Has a very good command of English. 4.Price and value for money. 5 Accessibility of the hotel.
Areas for improvement: The hot water in the showertook a long time to arrive and I had to run the shower for a while. I did report it it they attened to it but it needs futher improvement. I would prefer a face cloth or loofa in my shower. In summary a small hotel that gives exceptional good value for money in an expensive city like Milano. Highly recommended!

Great place, very comfortable and cosy rooms. You can find some nice restaurants near the hotel, it's not far away from the city center and train station. The breakfast was lovely, really tasty and the staff helpful.

This hotel is new but in a kind of traditional Italian style. No luxury but all you need. The staff is very helpful and kind, and gives you a feeling of being a personal guest. Breakfast is good - with ham, cheese and eggs in addition to the normal fruit and sweet stuff. Some rooms are very small - ask for how the room is before you check in. There is also a small bar - nice to relax after business or tourist activities. Really a home away from home. And to a very good price.

Room Tip: Ask for the size.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've been to. The location is within walking distance from the train station and not so far from the center. The rooms are clean and cosy. They are really well furnished and look very nice. The staff at the reception is extremally helpful.

One of the best things was the breakfast. It was really full and unlike the italian traditional breakfast included some ham and salami. Everything was really tasty.

Room Tip: We had an interior room and it was ok.

As we flew in and out of Milan for our 5-week European trip, we stayed at this hotel for two nights at the beginning and again for two nights at the end.

The staff were very friendly, freely offered suggestions for sightseeing, shopping and eating out, and spoke very good English. Location was a 20-minute walk from Cadorna station and a 5-minute stroll away from a whole boulevard of bars that feature "Happy Hour," where you can buy one drink and eat as much tapas-style food as you like. Rooms were a good size and quite stylish, as was the overall hotel. The buffet breakfast was one of the best we had for the trip.

The pleasurable stay on the first occasion meant that we travelled for four weeks knowing that we would end our vacation on a high note! We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: If you want to open the window at night for fresh air, ask for a back room.

Just spent three days inMilan and the Lancaster Hotel was just right. Clean room with massive bathroom in a quiet area of Milan, a short distance from the city core. Cabs in Milan are clean,
Efficient and good value to complement an extensive transit system.
The hotel offers a good breakfast and the staff is very helpful in assisting with access to Milan tourist sites.
Good value in an expensive city.

Myself and my husband jhave ust spent one night in the Lancaster Hotel (end of October 2012). The concierge was lovely and friendly when we arrived. The room and bathroom were immaculate, and were lovely and spacious. In particular the bathroom was AMAZING, with two big sinks and a large bath, all beautiful marble tiling and gorgeous fittings...it had the real wow factor when we walked in. The room furnishings were probably a little dated by comparison but were still lovely and as mentioned the room was plenty big. The breakfast was good (continental) and we really enjoyed our stay there, and were just sorry we hadn't planned our holiday differently to stay there a few nights. The tram is just a few minutes walk and the sell tickets at hotel reception which was very handy (€3 for 2 x 90 minute tickets, or various other options available). It was also only a very short walk to a street which had lots of nice restaurants and bars (the concierge directed us from hotel). All in all a very positive expierience!
