“Over rated. Doesn't deserve 4 stars”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

this is by US standards, an average motel with a courtyard kind of setting but not a 4 star hotel. Staff's English is poor and so are their overall attitude. Rooms are dark with limited light from the window and red walls. The shower cabin can hardly accommodate an adolescent. Breakfast is so-so.

Room Tip: wifi quality inside the room was poor

We liked it to spend a night in this nice hotel. RIch breakfast and italian coffee at request without any problems. Rooms are clean and comfortable
but could be less noisy in the morning. We missed a bar after 10 pm but found a very nice pub 200 meters to the right.

We stayed here for two nights. The entrance is on a very busy street, but it is in a good location to connect to mass transit to take you into Milan. There is free parking in a secured lot and the grounds are pretty, peaceful and quiet. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was nice and plentiful. The only complaint is that our room, although clean and spacious, was extremely noisy. We were placed at the end of the outdoor hallway directly on the street. It was very loud all night. If we could have stayed in a room farther away from the street overlooking the gardens, our stay would've been much more pleasant.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room away from the street, overlooking the gardens

The hotel grounds are lovely. Nice garden, restaurant on site. Breakfast in the morning is delicious! Fresh juices, delicious fruit tarts, nice variety of cold cuts.
The location is further away from the city center and there is not much nearby in terms of restaurants or shops. There is a bus stop very close to the hotel so you can get around.
The rooms are clean, beds comfortable. Wi-Fi signal is strong and there is a nice selection of TV channels to scroll through at night.

Due to a train strike we got in late at night and only could enjoy this hotel overnight, but it was just lovely. It took about 20 minutes by taxi to get to it from the train station but it was modern and very nicely appointed. It had been 98 degrees that day and because everyone in Milan was using the AC it shut down the grid to next to nothing, so we had no AC. We did have a big window in the room we opened but it was still stifling. The room was elegant and clean and the bath was huge and modern. If the AC had been on it would have been just lovely. The breakfast in the morning was quite a spread and had plenty of choices. The lady at the desk was very apologetic and helpful and gave us a discount for the inconvenience which was certainly appropriate given the room temperature and our lack of sleep because of it.

I'm a regular guest in this hotel. when I need to be in Milan to stay or to have a night stop, it's the place that I prefer.
Prices are decent. Breakfast is always really nice and abundant. Parking is also free of charge and important in a city.

We've paid far more for far less in a lot of places. Didn't feel 4-star-ish, to be sure, but as seasoned travelers on retirement incomes, we don't pay 4-star prices unless there is something special involved. We just needed decent digs in Milano for two nights. The express train to Cadorna station from Malpensa Airport and a €12 cab ride got us there efficiently.

Our room was very large and comfortable on an Italian old hotel standard... we even had decent reading lights by the bed. The wifi was excellent. The included breakfast was amazing. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The #2 bus stops a 200 yards up the street and connects you to everywhere. Tickets have to be purchased at the Tabacchi 100 yards further up, but buy several and that inconvenience goes away. The €1.50 ticket is good on bus, tram, & metro for 90 minutes.

And we were only a few blocks from Pizzeria Mio, which offered the best value dinner we've had in Italy this trip.

If we can get the same rate, I'll never stay anywhere else in Milano.
