“Nice location, but misleading hotel.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2014

Part of the problem was the misleading images posted when we booked the hotel showing only their best room, which we did end up getting once we saw the closet they tried to put 3 people in. I have stayed in European hotels and I know how they are. The rooms were almost falling apart with creaking floors and head boards that were supposed to be attached to wall. In the suite it was a complete 180* and really nice. Hotel staff was helpful but arrogant in the same acting like this is a 4 or 5 star hotel with paper thin walls. Once we left the hotel everything was within walking distance which is why we chose this hotel. If you just need a place to crash a couple nights and nothing fancy this place isn't terrible.

Room Tip: If you want a good room get the big suites on the left when you come in very nice clean and live abl...

Will remember from the happy and friendly coffee making man serving breakfast.
Hotel is very close the metro subway and close by nice shops.

Breakfast was average and rooms very also little above average. We much mutual balcony with neighbor room.

Nice hotel close to metro and right in the middle of some of the best shopping area ever. No shortage of restaurants, all budgets catered for close by. Our family room was lovely, very spacious and a great layout. Breakfast was excellent each morning.

This is the perfect hotel, if you fancy having a fat old man named Leopold strutting around proclaiming ownership of the hotel and fussing people around. He is, in his words, an "esteemed businessman". Sure, more like delusional concierge with self-esteem issues and a penchant for shoving lies down peoples' throats to boost his own sense of self-worth. Any tool with half a brain would know not to work front desk at his own hotel if he has the social skills of a three year old (i.e. fat old Leopold).

Location is just great (1km from Centrale and just a few steps from many public transport possibilities (underground, bus, tram, etc.).

Cleaniness is about average, no big surprises.

We got an answer to all our questions from the receptionists - and we had many :) They gave us maps, instructions what so ever. Some of them were not very polite but they helped us too.

There is no restaurant inside the hotel or minibar in the rooms but if you need a bottle of water or beer they do serve you from their bar and it will not even cost you a fortune. There is also a shopping mall 200m away from the hotel and they had no problem with us bringing in some food (not as if we were planning to cook for ourselves but a big pack of bottled water is always a must during summer :) ).

1 EUR /hr for internet is a real pain and I really do not get what makes them think it is worth to spend minutes on administering every single usage... But at least they clearly state this option everywhere so it is not a hidden trap ;-)

Breakfast is average (i.e. 2 types of filled croissants and 1 empty, 3 types of meat, some cheese and some average quality yoghurts). They do refill everything even 5 minutes before they close the dining area.

Have stayed in Milan numerous times this was by far the most discourteous hotel staff experience I have had in Italy
Not one word of welcome warmth or hospitality as I was leaving I was asked not to wait in front of the hotel with my children despite that there was no bell service what so ever or any bench. The hotel was not child friendly and the two make staff upon my exit were unfriendly.

We stayed here for 1 night before move to Florence, hotel is fins, walking distance to the subway and not too much far from the train station.

The hotel decoration is lovely and room is clean. Breakfast is simple.

Room Tip: Corner room is recommend and avoid for the first floor room.
