“Good location, old hotel room”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 days ago NEW

The location was good, with only 5 minutes walk to the duomo. There was a metro station right outside of the hotel. The hotel itself looked trendy in the lobby/reception area, but the room could use a renewal.

The bathroom was small and quite old. The shower head was loose and the shower itself seemed to be very old. We had problems with the air condition, as it didn't make the room cold enough in the August heat.

The staff was service minded and tried to help us with the air condition, but I think the a/c was just too old.

Fair sized room, marbled baths w/ full tub, comfy bed on a great value/HW one-night stay-over. We were pleased with quality staff, a very ample Euro-continental breakfast buffet, and walkability to shopping, dining and duomo within blocks. Would have happily stayed.

Room Tip: 522 worked for our needs...decent view / bit above street level clatter.

We were over 25 people attending iSalone Fair and most of us did not have air conditioning in our rooms, if we did, it was over 80 degrees F at night. We were lied and ignored so many tines over two days, one of our guest had to stay till 2 am with a repairman in the room because they did not have a spare room. Her air conditioning was not repaired and she could not get any sleep. The attitude of the front desk and management was despondent, they simply did not care. They would say "we will send a technician" or "it's just air conditioning, no big deal". Well, for two nights none of us got any sleep. We also asked for ice and told the restaurant was closed. I even had to go down myself to the bar and grab ice and glasses because the front desk totally ignored me. Please do not even think about staying in this hotel, unless you like saunas.

Room Tip: Choose rooms facing back towards courtyard. Make sure A/C works.

I was on a business trip and needed a hotel close to il Duomo. The location was perfect but I didn't like the room. I personally don't like carpets and I had a hard time taming the air conditioner. The bed was a queen size but it was placed with one side against the wall. The next door neighbors sounds came through the connecting sliding door... I usually wake up early and go down for breakfast as soon as possible so it was pretty disappointing to find out that breakfast wasn't actually ready at 7:00 AM, eggs and bacon weren't available till 7:15.

We booked a room for 3 nights but had to add one so they upgraded us to a huge suite with cupboards galore 2 enormous rooms, safe, large nice bathroom, TV with some English channels and a great roof top bar and restaurant. Breakfast was included and quite a good choice with helpful staff. Great location literally 3 mins to cathedral and duomo and Via Torina for shopping. Call a taxi and wait no more than 2-3 mins. No washing (probably 10min taxi fare €10 ) but cheap do it yourself washing that takes no more than an hour finished!! Ironing room available - just ask reception.

Only downfall is you can here the trains hum through the night but it didn't really bother us.

We stayed for one night and had a family room. They gave us adjoining rooms rather than one single (larger) room. This was an unexpected upgrade in our opinion. The location is perfect - just a two block walk to the Duomo. It cost 22 Euros to park but the garage was a few blocks away. The garage was collocated with a 24 hour gas station which was handy. The only real negative was a lack of electrical outlets (especially near the night stands where there where none).

Located very close to the Duomo. There is a metro station and trolley stop right out front. The downside is that the trolley is a little loud but it didn't keep us awake. Very clean. Staff was very helpful and all spoke good English. The piazza was under construction outside and the rooftop bar wasn't open (I'm sure April is off season). It's a great location and will be even more special when construction is complete on the piazza outside.
