“A very nice hotel, not much around though.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights, Staff very friendly and helpful, very clean hotel with large rooms which were cleaned each day, buffet style breakfast very nice, about 7 metro stops from duomo, only negative was that bar was very expensive .Would stay here again and hotel even sorted out tickets for us for the ac milan v inter milan match which was well worth it!!!

It is the kind of hotel you expect to find next to an airport. I had to fight with the shower to get the water to the right temperature. Staff at reception are efficient and nice. The bar is good and there is a terrace for smokers. The hotel carpark is very difficult to access if you have a large car. We spent €350 per room per night which obviously is too much for this hotel but during the Feria del Mobilie is rather common. I ate room service one night and must admit that I liked it.

I have stayed in this hotel for a weekend. I must say I was positively surprised. I did not expect such a nice place.
The hotel is very well located, really just some 3 minutes from the metro station. Staff is very nice and helpful.
The room was very spacious, so was the bathroom. Of course it’s not a 5 stars hotel but it is totally enough for a weekend. The only disadvantage was that the room was very dard, it had rather small windows and it was from the side of the patio sp there was almost no daylight.
Great breakfast buffet (be prepared to queue to the breakfast room), good quality of the food though and friendly staff.
I can easily recommend this hotel for a short stay in Milan.

the hotel itself is ok. spacious room, clean and convenient.it's 1min walk to the yellow metro line station.our room was at 4th floor, very quite with 2 sides window that let the light come in.
the staff was really polite and helpful.
the breakfast buffet was not as expected for a 4*.the coffee was not hot and just an americano coffee was available (not espresso).the meat and cheeses was not fresh as I think it should be.
the hotel is in a side solitude (partly not safe) neighborhood. there is exactly nothing around to see.the only attraction for us was a wonderful restaurant nearby.
it was a good hotel, but we won't back as we are not the hotel-traveler. we prefer a friendly B&B for the next time.

Room Tip: our room at 4th floor was spacious and quite. No 465.

Despite some remarks including airconditioning unexpected failure and unwillingness of the reception to timely explain in detail things like payment mode for the garage parking, still the overall impression is good mostly for the close-to-metro location.

When originally making my reservation, I had requested a high floor as possible and I had a question for the staff. There was never a reply to my question prior to arrival. Upon check-in, I again inquired about a room on as high floor as possible (not an upgrade), but I was given a room on the second floor, thanks a lot! We stayed here for the March 14-16 weekend.

ROOM:
Good size, superior double. Best aspect of the room was certainly the bed, huge extremely comfortable, nice comforter and comfy bed pillows with the option to select more specialized pillows. Sound proofing good, large flat screen TV, pay mini-bar, coffee/tea maker w/ingredients, robe, slippers, free safe, storage cabinet and drawers,

Bathroom amenities included hotel branded body wash, shampoo, and lotion. There is also a hair dryer in the room. Shower/tub area was not practical, as the tub faucet is located in the middle of the shower area and one can/will constantly bang your knee or leg up against this faucet. The lower shower handle hose should be mounted higher on the wall so that you don’t have to stand on it while you shower (see my posted photos for better understanding).

On Sunday morning, the day of check-out, there was no hot water. I contacted the front desk at 05.30 a.m., and I was informed maintenance had previously been called as other guests had already complained.

STAFF:
Breakfast room staff was efficient. Front desk mostly helpful with maps and directions, but the check-in agent and reservations prior to my arrival was not very understanding of my inquiry.

BREAKFAST:
A reasonably good deal as it is included in the room rate. Coffee/tea, juices (apple, orange, pineapple), milk, yogurt, variety of nuts, sliced fruits, whole fruits, scrambled eggs, sausage links, beans, bacon (floating in grease!), variety of breads, rolls, pastries, various croissants, cereals, jams, sliced cold meats, cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Also offered are gluten-free selections with entailed yogurt, breads, jams, and crackers.

Lobby Bar:
I stopped by here, though I did not have a drink. One evening, they offered, snacks (mini cupcakes, chips, cookies) free of charge. Bar staff was friendly. The lobby and bar area is huge with seats, tables, couches and some more private areas.

Parking:
Underground secured parking is offered for €15/day. We parked on the street for free as there were spaces around the hotel and we had no issues with the street parking and the neighborhood was safe, just don't leave any items visible in the car.

Fitness Center:
Located on 11th floor had two treadmills, 1 stationary bike, 1 stair master, free weights, bench, universal machine, TV, lockers, shower, towels and a drinking water dispenser. I would suggest having a pen/pencil on a string to fill out the work-out disclaimer forms as there were none during the times I utilized the fitness center.

Grounds:
There is a small park/green space in front of the hotel. Unknown if this is actually a part of the hotel, but since you practically walk over it entering the hotel and it is in full view, efforts should be taken to care for the park as it is riddled with an over-abundance of trash.

Meetings rooms were mostly located on the lower level as the breakfast room.

Two inner courtyards areas are nice for relaxing, reading or setting your plans for the day.

Transportation:
A bus stop shelter is located on the corner of the property and the M3 underground is located around the corner of the hotel near the highway overpass. The underground runs approximately every 7 minutes from 6 a.m. until midnight daily and takes you to the Duomo in 7 stops and easily reached within 15 minutes once you have boarded.

In general:
Online reservation inquiries and hotel check-in was not very accommodating. Though reservation was for two, only one robe, one set of slippers, and one evening turn-down service chocolate was left in the room.
The location of the hotel is right off the highway and the air quality outside and the surrounding neighborhood of the hotel is poor and it also leaks into the building ventilation.
Wi-Fi offered for 1 free hour per day in standard rooms, I believe the Wi-Fi is unlimited in the suites. There is one computer terminal with printer in the lobby available free of charge 24/7. Check-out as late as 12 noon.

The atmosphere is relaxed and though it is located out of the city center, the location of the underground makes it very easy to get to downtown in less than 15 minutes. I would recommend staying at Starhotels Business Palace.

Room Tip: I requested an upper floor when making the reservation and I had another inquiry, also at check-in a...

The staff was very helpful, especially when i forgot a bag and they were too kind to help me deal with it.
even though it is a business hotel, we went for vacations and because of the location (2 minutes for metro station) we enjoyed it a lot.
i totally recomment it
