“Very Nice Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2014

I was traveling to Milan on business. This hotel has good quality rooms, similar to an American Marriott. The location is very good. Several restaurants are in a short walk from the hotel, and the Metro stop is about 10 min walk. The price was reasonable. There is free Wifi in the lobby, but you need to pay if you want it in your room. There is also free coffee in the lobby.

The bar in very good and the bar tenders are friendly. The exercise area is good, much larger than most European hotels. The breakfast is good, but overpriced at 15 euros. There is parking under the hotel if you have a car.

The check in can be very slow. For some reason it takes 10 min to check in each guest.

Very nice hotel -- I stay here a couple times a year. Its excellent for business and close to the Wagner metro stop. Very easy to get to the touristy spots as well as the business districts. In hotel restaurant is decent at best.

I went to visit the family for an important family gathering. Stayed for two nights and almost felt like home, i don't even want to leave. Very professional staff and helpful personnel. Room was very cozy and excellent breakfast. Can't say anything more than your money spent worthy...

I stayed here for one night in December 2013. It's looks like it's used mostly for business conferences and such. I felt a little out of place walking among the suits with my sneakers and duffel bag, but the staff was nice and professional. The room was clean, the price was good, and the concierge was helpful. Not bad for one night's stay.

My wife and I stayed for several nights at this Marriott property arriving from the Linate Airport. There was a conference going on at the property and while it was very busy, the check-in was efficient and warm...we were checked in early to a very nice/quiet room which is always night when crossing to Europe at night. We had arranged a walking tour of Milan later in the afternoon and the staff did an excellent job guiding us to the Metro which was a short walk (no more than 10 minutes) from the Marriott. Great little neighborhood and the ease of getting into the city was a pleasant surprise. Like many other travelers we were impressed with the quality of the breakfast and the professionalism of the Marriott staff.

Room Tip: Simply request a "quiet room" if arriving to Milan on an overseas night flight...they put...

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2013

In all of the hotels that I have stayed in over the last 30 years I cannot remember ever spending time in a hotel that was both elegant/old world while being friendly and warm at the same time.

We have just finished a 9 night stay in the hotel and have been pleasantly surprised. The staff here describe themselves as a business hotel - which in my opinion is very modest of them.

The hotel is beautiful (see pictures), rooms well appointed, (my partner and I are both over 6 foot and we both managed to soak in the tub at the same time), the dinning room (for all meals including breakfast) and reception area are stunning and the staff are respectful, courteous, warm, friendly and either speak excellent English or enough to get by when your Italian is a little rusty (or just none existent).

The hotel itself is only 8mins walk from Wanger tube station which is about 10mins from the tube station at the Duomo. It is only 4 stations from Cardona Station where you can catch trains to Lake Como and the funicular up to Brunate overlooking the lake. We arrived at Linate station which is approx. 40 Euros taxi ride from the hotel, and if you arrive via Malpensa airport the train comes into Cardona Station as mentioned earlier - if you really want to taxi from Malpensa it can cost you around 90 Euros.

5 stops on the tube from Wagner tube station is Caroli tube station which has the starting point for the 3 sightseeing bus routes. I should point out that 1 way tickets on the tube (standard) is 1 Euro and 50 Cents - very cheap.

The area surrounding the hotel has lots of very good standard restaurants if you do not fancy being in the centre of town every night and there is some decent shopping nearby as well.

Overall the stay was excellent especially for the price. This is not an expensive Marriott hotel and as platinum members we have stayed in 1 or 2.

One additional point to make. The food in the hotel was excellent. Well above standard and served once again by very friendly and efficient staff - they literally run to assist you!
