“Wonderful full service hotel for foreign travelers”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

In many ways this hotel is what you expect in a big city Marriott. It exceeds expectations in their sensitivity and concern for travelers from different countries and cultures. The front desk people seem to each speak multiple languages. The breakfasts have European style favorites like cheeses, sausages, croissants, Asian noodles and teas, and "American Coffee. The public spaces are spacious, the elevators numerous, and the service personnel efficient and friendly. The one major disappointment was no free wi-fi and a high price for a connection, when I just wanted to send one email to my 91 year old mother to tell her the earthquake in Bologna had not hurt us, so I made a 30 Eurobphone call. This in a superior and expensive hotel. As much as I liked everything else, I will not stay here again. There are other places in Milan that don't gouge people on this service. Too bad easily 5 stars, but for this glaring mis step.

I have to say I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The staff I met were extra nice, special shout out to Maximus at the concierge....very helpful and sweet guy.

The decor of this hotel is awful. I hated it. This is a 19 year old property. Initially it was a Ramada and later Marriott took over. I dont think that they ever refurbished it since it opened. It looks like a run down 5 star hotel you would find somewhere in Saudi Arabia. On the other hand this just might be your style and then you will love it.

The hotel is not near the city centre however getting into the city is very easy. There is a subway stop 10min walk from the hotel (WAGNER) and for 1.50EUR you can get anywhere you like.

Breakfast is ok. For italian standards its very good. Internet is good.

If your lucky you can find fairly good rates here.

Room Tip: try and get upgraded to a jr suite. NIce big rooms with gigantic balcony

This hotel was about 10 min from the metro, but I liked the location because it was directly across the street from a supermarket. It was fun exploring the deli section! The breakfast buffet was great. The rooms were decently sized for European standards, and up to my expectations. The concierge was very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We went to Milan for a weekend trip and were generally pretty happy with the hotel. The location is a good 30 minute walk from the centre or 10 euro taxi ride depending on what your mood is. The service in the hotel is pretty good but along with a number of other comments the hotel could do with a little modernisation.

I just wish some hotel chains would get on board with free WIFI and just because you are a well known international chain, dont stiff your customers on the price of drinks!

All in all i would probably stay here again.

Really enjoyed staying at the Marriott in Milan! The rooms are really beautiful and clean. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. They also have a lovely boutique in the hotel which has amazing brand name stuff; you'd think it was expensive since it is a hotel boutique, but their prices are actually better than at the designer stores. If you see something here that you like, buy it!! The location is also good, across the street from a grocery store and a nice little local bakery and cafe that you can eat breakfast or a snack at.
