“Excellent place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2014

Located across from the Centrale station, this is out of the city but within a short underground ride from the centre. Good hotel with very comfortable beds, good size room and large bathroom. We had room 1005, a corner room with dual aspect windows. Being up several floors kept the noise level to a minimum, apart from the odd police siren we never heard a thing at night. The restaurant is small but the quality of the food is high and a reasonable price for this type of hotel. The breakfast was varied, as you would expect from an international hotel, but of a good quality.

Room Tip: Corner rooms seem larger on hotel plan.

Hotel Michelangelo are very close to the train station. That is the best thing it has going for it. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The room was small. The noise level was high. The breakfast bar was like eating in a factory and not one that served high quality food. A business hotel. even on the 14th floor the noise level was high.

Room Tip: if you want a hard bed this is the place.

We stayed for three nights here. I did my research as I wanted something near the station, wifi and breakfast. This place was the pick of the bunch as really good value for what you get. The minibar was free, we used the spa bath everyday and it was great having high speed internet again after traveling around in places slow internet, the breakfast had a very good selection though you don't linger as the room has no windows. The service of the staff was okay. The doormen were very friendly how the reception staff seemed rush and when asking info about the city I felt like they needed to give me the info in haste. Overall excellent location, and I would choose this hotel again in Milan. Lots of nice cafés near by and supermarkets. Easy to get around the city from the hotel.

The hotel is just 2 mins from the metro and is safe!

Staff were helpful and professional. Even when we triggered the alarm in the shower as we were cusious about the string hanging there, the chambermaid was all smiles and gestured to us and spoke in Italian (which we didn't understand). That was how we came to know that it was a safety feature.

We would definitey recommend it and this will be our choice when we head back to Milan again!

The best thing that you can have in this hotel is its location as it is right next to Central station. This can ensure that you can easily get to anywhere in Milan easily. If you need to connect to any train early in the morning this hotel can address to your requirement. Another good thing is their full scale breakfast. For me, if you are not stay in 5 stars or big chain in Europe it is hardly to find anywhere offering such full comprehensive breakfast rather than only continental...

The room is nice and well maintained even the hotel is a bit old. We also really love the spa bath which we can relax after a long shopping in Milan. However, the quality of sleep is pretty low for me as my mattress was torn out... The spring or anything at the center of the mattress was just gone so when you sleep your back feels like fall into a hole!!

Staff is only on the standard... They are not really super friendly but also not that bad...

In conclusion, the price is acceptable for such big hotel locate at city center in Milan. If you are looking for a hotel that is easily accessible to other place, you may want to consider this hotel.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2014

We spent a week and a half travelling around Italy in April this year and decided to end the trip in Milan and fly out from Milan airport. After a long week of walking around and hiking, it was very pleasant to stay at Michelangelo Hotel. They have a complimentary mini-bar and breakfast, and great location next to the Stazione Centrale. So for us coming from Como, we got into the station and the hotel was right there, and we stayed the night. The next day, we explored Milan, left our luggage at the hotel, and when we came back, took the train to the airport directly from the Stazione Centrale. Perfect!
One thing which blew me away was the tub in the bathroom. Amazing, it is like a 2-person jacuzzi. Very relaxing after a long week of travelling.

This is my second stay in Milan and I decided to stay in this hotel during my first visit. Hotel location is awesome, just by the central train station entrance. Hotel building looks nice, lobby are is large
I stayed in a room on 12th floor. Room was very spacious with a large bed and restroom. It has a big closet and a free minibar and also a safebox. View from the windows was just spectacular. Only bad thing I can say is the location of the breakfast hall. It is in the basement. They could have put it onto the upper floors.
P.S. In the elvetors I noticed that there is 17th and 19th floor buttons but they do not have the 18th. What are you hiding there? :)

Room Tip: Pick ones from the upper floors. Elevators are very fast, it does not matter whether you are on the...
