“Average hotel but good location.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012

There isn't much to say except that it's a typical standard "no frills" hotel. The rooms were small and the bathroom could have done with an extra scrub. However saying that, we only wanted somewhere to rest our heads without paying too much per night. The hotel is situated about a 10-15 minute walk from Duomo or a quick 5 minutes on the tram. We walked into the centre everyday because there are tons of shops you can pop into on the way! It's also near the canal where the bars are located. Overall, it's a hotel ideal for those that want to spend most of their time outside.

I was in the room 206 for two days. It was very hot in the room in October. The walls were dirty. Window opened to the street to the entrance and smoke came up to my room. Elevator is tiny, also the bathroom. Cars go in two meters or less distance from your window.
Location is certainly not in the center. Lock operates with a card, you can not open for the first trial.
Breakfast is poor.
Staff is OK.

The main reason I chose this hotel was for the location - close to the canals and nightlife and within walking distance of the Duomo, at a reasonable price. It isn't close to a Metro station, but there's a tram stop close by.

Yes, the rooms are on the small side and you can only get a few Italian TV channels for free, but I didn't go to Milan to stay in my room and watch TV anyway. The lift is incredibly small - just enough space for me and my backpack! Would be nice to have free wi-fi though. The staff were pleasant and friendly, and the rooms were clean (I stayed twice, at the beginning and end of my holiday). Perfectly fine for what I wanted.

I have to mention the breakfast though. I went for breakfast at 9:30 both times, and it seems most people in the hotel wanted breakfast at that time too. This meant that the two staff were rushed and they kept running out of things, both food and crockery. The breakfast itself was nothing special, e.g. tinned fruit instead of fresh, so if I went again I'd spend a few more euros getting a good breakfast from one of the nearby cafes.

Overall, a good choice for a value hotel in the centre of Milan and I would go there again.

I advice not not stay at this hotel unless you want a bad treatment from the staff. I have booked a room through booking.com and even it the reservation was not restricted under any conditions (it could be cancelled upon 1day prior to arrival with no fees), the staff took all the money from my account.
When I called and emailed them, they didn't even excuse themselves, although it was their mistake. They just couldn't care less, so I cancelled the whole reservation.
Even now, after 30 days from this story I haven't received the money.
Being in Milan, I have stopped by this hotel and the receptionist was very nasty and unkind. The hotel is common and cold looking.

If it's for 1 night, then I guess it's OK, but that' the longest I'd spend. We're really cheap, but even we will spend more next time. Breakfast was prepacked and barely sufficed (eggs were terrible). The air conditioning only took the edge off to sleep. It was clean and safe but far from comfortable. The staff were polite and tried to be helpful, but check in was slow. So, I'm glad we didn't check in when there was a rush.

I can't belive that nowadays there are still hotels that charge for internet!! Plus the price is crazy and they only have internet at the lobby!! They also charge you for some tv channels!! The location is nice there's a great restaurant right on the corner, and the breakfast at the hotel is also good. Room is tiny and the AC is not cold enough for hot summer days.

I chose this hotel again as the price was unbeatable. A comfortable bed, clean rooms, crisp white sheets, super fluffy towels changed daily, helpful staff and a good breakfast, what more would you want? well possibly space but this does not come cheap in Milan. In our double room there was space just to walk around the bed and at first it did feel a bit claustrophobic but for the short space of time that you spend in the room it was adequate. I had stayed in a twin room on the 6th floor on a previous visit in a room which was much more spacious so was a little disappointed this time, but it is very close to the bars and nightlife of navigali which is a great experince and a must do whilst in Milan. You can walk to the 'last supper' museum from here easily too and the metro and tram are convenient. I will stay again as better the devil you know! save your money for the shops!

Room Tip: book a twin for more space
