“Hotel- the problem..”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2010

This hotel is not hotel 4*., more likely 3* .. Almost all kinds of service are unsatisfactory or are problems for guests ( Internet in room ,Ironing , Cleaning, Booking change)...
The relation to us of the receptionist was especially remembered. He tried to estimate each request in money...
We stayed in hotel one day, but this stay we remember negatively till now...

This hotel was the surprise of the trip. Good room, great location (10 minutes walking from central station, 2 minutes from Metro Republica, same line as Duomo), nice and helpfull staff, good breakfast, quiete room and great price. If you are going to Milan, it's a place to stay!

Located about a 10 minute brisk walk from the Centrale train station, or <5 minutes from the Republica subway station, location is OK, but depending on what side you face, the nightclub nearby makes quite a lot of noise at night.

Room was very small but clean and tidy. Staff could not tell me where is the nearest convenience store open during the evening and even suggested to leave at 2pm for my 4pm flight out of Malpensa. Take precaution when approaching them for help.

The nearby IBIS has far more reasonably-sized rooms for a cheaper price.

The hotel itself is located near to Corso Buenos Aires (shopping street) and about 15-20mins walk from downtown Duomo area - so location is quite good. The staff is generally polite & friendly (one of them has a particular sense of humour!) Rooms are not particularly big but are clean and adequate. However, there were no toiletries available (just some soapy water mixture) - which is quite surprising for a 4-star establishment. Also, they charged 1 euro per person to leave luggage in the hotel after check-out (regardless of how long.) This was strange as usually it is free of charge in hotels especially in 4-star hotels.

We booked this hotel based on the reviews on this web site. This was the last city that we've stayed from our European vacation. And i have to say that, this one was the best hotel that we have stayed in. Everything was more that we have expected it. The only thing that i don't like about this place is, The shower. It is very very small and I am 5.2 i had such a hard time taking a shower. The location is very good. Metro is around the corner(repubblica) and the Train station is less than 10min walk. If you are taking a taxi to Malpensa airport, it will cost you 80-95 euro. The malpesa shuttle bus stop is very close to the hotel less than 5min drive. You can take the hotel taxi if you have a lot of luggage for only 9euro and take the shuttle bus to malpena for only 5-7.50 euro.

My mother and a friend of her spent two nights in this hotel. In spite the hotel was fully payed in advance by a credit card the reseptionist forced my mother to pay for the hotel again by cash. He pretended that the hotel did not receive the money. Now I have a confirmation from my creditcard bank statement confirming that the payment had been made and have a receipt from the hotel they got cash. This means the room has been double payed. Therefore I requested the hotel to return the amount I have payed twice and you know - they refuse to do so. They sad that they are going to check the bank transactions and this will be undefinitly long (make take probably more than a year they told!!!). They are cheaters! Don't be bamboozled by they cheap reates - they will robe you!
