“Average Hotel used by Tour Groups and Businessmen”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

In Italy don't be fooled by their hotel star rating system. By US standards an Italian 4 star hotel could be the equivalent of anwhere from 2-4 stars. I would compare this hotel to a 3 star property. Rooms are small but typical for an Italian hotel. Try to get a recently renovated room as it will make a world of difference. The front desk and lobby can be a madhouse when tour groups are checking in or out, otherwise the staff is most helpful when not harried. Breakfast is very good with a large selection of good quality. The property is located in a beautiful parkside residential area, but with few surrounding amenities. Yes a Metro staion and buses are 1-2 blocks away. The Train Station is nearby, but I found it to be closer to a 20 minute walk and maybe too far if one has luggage. The Duomo area is about a 30 minute walk, but on arrival your walking is really just beggining, so better to take the nearby metro for 2 stops saving your energy for your sightseeing. Overall this property is acceptable, but with all the hotels in Milan to choose from there are bound to be better options.

Although in good location and at first looking appealing, this hotel has been a disappointment. Small room, poorly equipped. No TV signal, extra slow internet. No electrical plugs in room (to charge the phone). A very loud air ventilation (although the room had ventilation off, there was noise coming from it) that does not stop till midnight.

Arrived at 2, was told check in is at 3, if we wanted to check in early, it would cost 10 euro. Latest check in time ever! Lobby has a free wifi sign and to ask reception for access, we asked reception, they say there is no wifi. Clearly they were lying as my web browser asked for a username and password to use their internet. Room is decent size. Room service was not good, we ordered dinner and it was late and the food was cold. Also, food was not good for a 4 star hotel.

Worst hotel experience in Italy! Stayed at the hotel on September 14th to 15th of 2012. Purchased the 1 night accommodation from Priceline, which stated that checkin is at 2:00pm. Got to the hotel at 1:55pm and budgeted 1/2 hour to change into comfortable clothing and get all essentials out of my luggage as I had a full day Milan excursion booked for 2:45pm. Hotel would not permit checkin till 3:00PM and there was no place to shower/change and get ready for the excursion. We lost an hour of our trip waiting for the front desk to let us in no earlier than 3:00PM. Staff at hotel are extremely unhelpful! To make things worse, we left a hair straightening iron at the hotel after our visit, and they ABSOLUTELY refused to send it to us within Italy - I told them that I would cover ALL shipping and handling costs via credit card. Other hotels ship routinely. They will do the absolute minimum when it comes to customer service. Overall, a VERY LAZY and unhelpful reception desk and management! No respect towards customers! We would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is in a great location, as it is really close to one of the Metro stops...so you can get anywhere in Milan easily and quickly from this hotel. It's also not a long walk walk to the main attractions, but if you are tired....take the subway. I'm not generally picky, but there are some ways in which this hotel could improve. I think another review mentioned it could use some refreshing. The lobby is very attractive, but our room and the hallway could use new paint/wallpaper. My main complaint was that they don't provide much information to tourists....I had to ask for a tourists map from the front desk, and the clerk seemed a little annoyed by my request. The map he gave me was from some fashion company, so it had "PINKO" written about eight times on it (I think indicating PINKO store locations) but that obscured some of the streets on the map! In contrast, the other hotels we stayed at in Italy had a welcome information, letting you know about how to take tours, sights to see in the area, etc.

The breakfast was good, but the staff seemed very harried, and there were sometimes long waits for emptied buffet trays to be replaced. I would probably try a different hotel on another visit to Milan.

My husband and I stayed here with friends during the Monza F1. Great location next to a main public park and within easy walking distance to the train station and main fashion and shopping district and Duomo.

Clean, modern, well appointed room with breakfast included. Would recommend the red bus tour to get a good overview of the city. Plenty to see for a 2 - 4 day stay in the city and the surrounding areas are easily accessible by train. Would stay here again.

I stayed here during September 2012 after a number of business trips to Milan I decided it was time to see more than just an Office. The Hotel itself is directly next to a medium sized park and only a couple of minutes walk from the Republica metro station. A further 10 minute walk and you are at the main central train station which offers links to Lake Como and the north. The main sights of Duomo etc are a 10 - 15 minute walk which means that there is no cost of Taxi's etc when spending the evening out. Breakfast is more than adequate, although some of the comments on this forum around the eggs are correct but that should not be a major show stopper. Overall a very good location with good amenities and good sized rooms. I would stay at this hotel again if visiting Milan for pleasure purposes
