“Nice but a lot of people bothering you”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

It is a nice view on the Duomo but it is very unpleasant as you constantly have somebody trying to sell or steal you something. It is a high place for pickpockets.

“Impressive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

Duomo and the square are something each tourist should see in Milan.
i was impressed by the massive architecture, and the pictures which I took when the sun came from behind the clouds were excellent.
Just stay away from those black guys who try to give you food for the hundreds of pigeons flying there and then demand money. A lot of pickpockets around too, so stay alert.

“Spectacular architecture, even in the snow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

We visited the Duomo in Feb'13, it was snowing, but the amazing architecture and vastness of Duomo Square made it worthwhile. Make sure you walk around the terrace at the top of the Duomo - it is a fantastic view.

“Beatiful.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2013

Something you can't miss. There was a festival of something when we were there so it was full of kids in some different costumes, playing around and throwing conffeti. The athmosfere was so happy, warm and family. Just step away from those black guys with those braceletes, and corn for the pigeons, because they will tell you it's free and literally push it in your hand, and when you take pictures with pigeons all over you they will search money from you. If you are with your boyfriend or anyone who is male, they won't be so persistent but if you are in company with a female person they won't leave you alone till you don't give them some money. And when you do, be sure that they will search some more, and if they do and they don't wanna leave you alone, there is a lot of police around, so be free to go to one and tell them what the problem is.

“Its no "Trafalgar"”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2013

Duomo square, has a long way to go to match Trafalgar Square, but it has its own feel about it that you will enjoy none the less. The architecture of the Duomo itself is inspiring. The perfect backdrop for photo's. Inside the church you can soak up its history, viewing the bodies of 2 cardinals in their glass coffins, the stained glass windows, the altar, etc, etc. If you want to take photo's inside the church you have to pay a fee of 2 euro's. Be carefull if you choose not to pay, as they do check for your wrist band / pass, if they see you taking photo's! Back outside in the square you have a few al fresco cafe bars, the usual street vendors selling flags, magnets, hats etc. Then you have the shopping mall, with all the fancy restaurants inside and the designer shops. Hold onto your wallets / purses. The prices can be frightening! The square was alive whilst we were there, as it was the festival of Milan (feb 15 - 17) and every one was dressed up in costumes of all designs, men, women and kids, showering everyone with confetti as you walked past. Lovely. We had a great time.
