“Good deal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

A bit far from all the touristy sights if that's what you're in Milan to see, but otherwise, it was an overall good stay.

Very quiet room, good heating/AC, EXTREMELY spotty wifi that was fixed after my second day of complaining, and decent breakfast. Everything is clean, modern, and spacious with good "colour therapy" wall decorations to contrast its otherwise-minimalistic setup.

The reception was polite enough. Perhaps the one quibble I would have is the fact that there is a pornographic channel that would come on after 10pm-ish...as a traveller, I have never come across this sort of free service, and so readily available--if I remember correctly, it was the channel right after the English BBC channel. It was quite a shock if I were flipping quickly!

Otherwise, good all around.

Room Tip: Not very family-friendly if you have kids, thanks to that free porn

My wife & I stayed here 5 nights along with friends. The hotel is about a 7 minute walk from the main train station and a Metro station. There are 3 great restaurants within 3 minutes walk. The staff is most helpful, especially Matteo, and the lounge/bar area is very inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel for one night at the beginning and end of a week in Italy. The hotel was very easy to find from central station, even in the dark.

Our first visit we were on the first floor. The room was modern and spacious although the bathroom was quite small with only a shower cubicle no bath. Similar to other reviews it was quite noisy with cars, people walking/chatting in the street and the bin lorries. The second visit we requested a different room based on the noise and were given a third floor room that was much better. This room also had a bigger bathroom and seemed a generally nicer room.

Breakfast was continental and had a very good choice. Staff were helpful although we had minimal contact. I would definitely visit milan again and would return to this hotel.

Room Tip: If a light sleeper definitely ask for a room on a higher floor.

Stayed at this hotel on an extended weekend break in Milan. It is close (750metres) from Milan Central Station and we walked in about 5 to 10 minutes. Unlike many surrounding mid priced hotels in this area this is clean, modern and well appointed.
The room we were allocated (110) was large double bed and large bathroom. The room enjoyed light therapy unit which allows you to change the colours of the rooms lighting over the bed. Quite fun. Room was warm, the Aircon did not seem to be very responsive even on its lowest setting. The room was actually quite noisy even with windows and shutters down we could hear the nearby trams and a strange deep rumble every so often which I wonder if it could be the metro?
However we enjoyed our stay and the breakfast included was very good. I would stay again.

Room Tip: Only stayed in a room in the front of hotel which was noisy, perhaps rooms at the back would be quie...

I spent three nights in the Mediolanum Hotel and I have to say I have no complaints. All the staff were very polite and ready to help us with directions and advice on nice restaurants, and even helped us out with change for the taxi! The Location of the Hotel is great, very close to the station. The room was very clean and plenty of space for the three of us. The Wi-fi worked great for us.
I had a lovely stay in Milan and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I spent one night at the Mediolanum and am more than satisfied with my experience. Location is unbeatable, just five minutes walk from Central Station and three from Buenos Aires. Friendly staff in all departments.
Room was of a reasonable size for Milan’s standards, bathroom more on the small side, but with a never seen before (and much appreciated) paper band around the shower curtain reading that it had been thoroughly washed before my arrival.
Breakfast is served in the basement in a brightly lit and well-decorated room. There is a nice choice of cakes.
Funny the colour therapy available in the room.

We stayed here for 1 night and chose this due to its proximity to the station. The hotel is modern, clean and the staff were very nice. The location was convenient for us but is nothing special, and whilst there are some nice touches in the rooms (the blue lighting is fun) it doesn't merit the price tag. Negatives - the lift is tiny-too small really for two people with luggage, WiFi is not very good, the water pressure isn't great and in our non-smoking room the pillows smelt faintly of cigarette smoke. None of these are major things, but overall we didn't feel it was value for money, perhaps Milan is just a really expensive city. On the plus side the staff were very nice and the breakfast selection was excellent, lovely cappucinos.
