“top location with top prices”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

The location is marvellous, just opposite the Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele with a perfect view on the place and the dome of Milan. But that is the best you can expect. The rest is average, including the staff which is somewhat away from being polite. You may enter the restaurant via a helical way from a museum. To get seated you may ask a waiter, and perhaps he will place you near to the windows. Then you wil get the menue, and, what is not listed herein, in the cover, which is 10 € per person. The meal we had was ok, good but not exeptional, but you definitely have to pay for each view with you meal. So we paid 75 € for two starters and two glasses of wine and one bottle of water. It was an experience...

“Stunning location, luxurious interior, food...not so good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012

I feel aweful writing this review, on paper it should have been a great experience especially as we had such a great waiter.

However the food was lacklustre - there is little I can say about it other than the wine was great!

Its expensive and I cant recommend for dinner - sorry my TripAdvisor friends!

“Great restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012 via mobile

After visiting the 900, we went to the Giacomo on a whim. We got there at 540 and there were very accommodating and got us a table at the terrace. What a view! The waiter we had was very knowledgable and gave great recommendations for our meals and wine. Other people complained the restaurant being expensive but I found the prices to be average. Dinner with a glass of wine, first and second course plus dessert and two bottles of water came to 100 euros exactly. This is normal for Canadian restaurant outings.

“Get a table on the window facing the Duomo!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

If you can get a table on the window facing the Duomo, it is worth going to this restaurant. It is literally 100 yards from the Duomo and an upper floor window view makes you feel like you are eating suspended above the Duomo square. Magical! It was a tad pricey perhaps, but worth it for the view. If you don't have a "table with a view", however, I'm not sure the food is special enough to make this a top choice.

“Terraced Restaurant facing the Duomo in Milan”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

Lovely restaurant right in the center of Milan with a fantastic terrace right in front of the Milan Duomo.
The restaurant is only worth going to if you get a terrace seat, otherwise you sit in the back and it loses all its appeal.
Food is of very high quality and also very eclectic (like a fish carpaccio with mojito apetizer!) and the waiters are also very professional.
If you can find a table, its also extremely pleasant just sitting at the bar during aperitivo hour as the barman produce spectacular coctails and the snacks they provide are delicious.
Obvious downside to all this is the price, its extremely expensive..
