“Old but... Best so great.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

Going there now for many years for business and weekend, and i can't go anywhere else in Milan!
Don't expect to find a luxury hotel. Diana is probably one of the most typical and iconic hotel of the city, with walking distance from Via de la Spiga and all the shopping district, you will be able to make the most out-of the city from there.

Then what to say when comes after-work drinks? Aperitivo there is a MUST.
Crowd and music are just awesome.

Can't wait to be back

PS: a special thank you to all the staff that always makes my stays unique.

Room Tip: choose garden side.

Great location in center close to almost all sights, easy to reach by car, nice park inside building and good breakfast. The great bar working till the 1:00 in the night. WI-FI doesn't work in hotel and on reception I was informed that it is not the problem of Hotel but of internet-provider. By check-in you should twice ask before getting the room - there are big difference between rooms in same price category - choose with view on main street - its better furnished and bigger but partly noisy. For 2-3 days staying without spending time in room its a good choice.

First things first, remember that you are in Europe and all the rooms are smaller and nothing is as "modern". Now, with that being said, this hotel exceeded all expectations.

For the tourists out there, this hotel is located about 15 minute walk from the Duomo and everything else you would want to see. It is also an easy metro stop away from everything. You can avoid the chaos and crowds of the main street, but be close to the action here (and probably pay a lot less!).
Apertivo here is great, and you could make a meal out of it.

The rooms were relatively spacious with high ceilings. The hotel has an authentic, old italy look and feel, and the staff, particularly Luca and Salvatore, were wonderful.

As a platinum guest, the staff was very generous, the upgrades were excellent, and the breakfast food was delicious and had a reasonable selection.

All in all, you won't regret this hotel stay.

Room Tip: None of the views are remarkable, just ask for a quiet room or a spacious room.

Very old hotel. Maybe it should be old traditional style, but thats too much, it looks and feels absolutly not like beeing in a Starwood property, it feels cold.
Starwood in europe in general has to improve in terms of service and SPG recognition, but Italy is the worst ever seen. The staff is simply impolite.

Location: 3/5 - not really in the city center
Spa/Fitness: 1/5 (no sauna/steam room in a Cat. 5 Starwood!)
Breakfast buffet: 2/5 - poor, not Cat. 5, more variety even in Aloft!
Vegetarian/Vegan options: 2/5
Value for money: 1/5 - heavy over priced
Platinum Upgrade: 2/5 - they call it suite, but it is just a deluxe room (or maybe they just lied to me and it is really just a deluxe room) but per definition a suite has a bed and a living room.

Platinum Ambassador special request recognition: 1/5

What’s missing?
a lot.
- sauna / steam room
- friendly staff
- cheaper rate
- much better breakfast

All in all: we'll not come back. We can not wait untill the W finally opens!

Room Tip: Try to get a suite, but a real suite with a bed and a living room

Expensive for nothing. The bar and exterior lounge is cool but the rooms are so bad!!! Very dirty bathhroom, impossible to sleep because of the exterior street noises. The walls are like sheets of paper you hear everything!
Very expensive services .
Very bad hotel. Do not go there! You can find easily better hotels in Milan!

STARWOOD: GOLD
MARRIOTT: GOLD

At the end of my business trip which had me on the other side of the city, i had been very much looking forward to my night at this property. I spent the entire day in Lugano which i highly recommend, sadly it was freezing rain on us all day and by 6pm i bid my colleagues farewell and was seeking a few hours rest. The Hotel is known for its lounge patio and upon entry for checkin i picked up the excellent sounds of smooth House Music. I was excited to check it out, after my short rest.

HOTEL: This property is very antique and fits with the "old" Milan style. I'm not sure when it was built was it was quite cool, its design especially exterior. The interior to the left of entry has a nice bar. The checkin desk looked very old school, and the layout of the hotel even more so. This is not a negative thing and if anything enhanced the vibe one seeks when having some pleasure time in this great, historic city.

THE LOCATION: Centrally located amongst many bars/restaurants and shopping. The Central train station was a short cab ride away. This hotel is very close to LINATE-Airport and my morning cab was much less expensive compared to my first hotel. I paid only 20 Euro including tip (which is not expected) for my ride at 5am.

THE ROOM(S): My room was at the end of a long hallway and on the corner. I immediately passed out when i first got there and the bed was quite cozy. Sadly i woke up very sick, probably from something i had eaten in Switzerland or the freezing rain i danced in all day. It pretty well ruined my stay here but this is not the Hotel's fault at all. Outside of my bathroom i could walk out onto a stone or concrete ledge/balcony. This afforded me excellent views into the squares to my left and while sick as a dog i still took pleasure in soaking in the sounds of this beautiful city.

Decor was very old style complete with a huge Chandeler above my bed. This time there was once again BBC and nothing else in English so i watched this while trying to get better before my early flight. I had missed the coveted lounge night =( and the food that went with it. I ordered room service in the middle of the night and in the morning, both were horrible. Staff was very kind to remove those charges but be advised it was bad, very overcooked, tasteless bad.

THE STAFF: Staff was fantastic, especially at checkin and when i was sickly looking for a cab in the morning. Thank you Majestic staff, you helped this sickly American feel a bit better.

Was my Elite recognized? Yes, buand i was thanked for my loyalty, and afforded some access to the lounge and buffet, which i failed epicly to attend.

I would recommend this property if anything because it is right in the thick of the action. Something about that balcony really made it uniquely cool to me as well. I hope to return when not sick and when its warmer.

Room Tip: Corner rooms, higher floors

After long trip very pleasant reception at the Reception (desk), nice and spacious room with large bathroom inclusive of big bath tube. The room would do nicely with some refreshing/redecoration update to fit completely with the hotel star rating. My arrangement was b&b, the breakfast room is nice and stylish but the food offer could be more elaborate. Quite expensive parking. Overall, the hotel offers maximum of the minimum expected of the 5* hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms are according to the expectations....
