“A true masterpiece”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

I saw this first in 1958 and it created a lasting impression on me as a teenager. Revisiting it this year reinforced my views that this is a true artisitc masterpiece. Although you only have 15 minutes to view it, the English speaking guide superbly added to the viewing experience and enjoyment. Don't forget to get your tickets in advance from the museum's website!

“Don't Miss it Out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

I reserved tickets to see The Last Supper about one month before my trip to Milan. I bought tickets on Select Italy. It is convenient and quite hassle-free, as tickets are kinda guaranteed through this website. However, buying this way is definitely a lot more expensive. So I suggest if making phone calls to Italy is not super difficult for you, call Santa Maria delle Grazie and reserve tickets through the phone. Only 8 Euros per ticket that way, and I heard you could get more choices in terms of dates and time.

My friend and I went on a heavy snowy day and due to a strike, we couldn't make there on time. But the staff were not super strict on that as the weather was really terrible. We still made it to see the masterpiece. I gasped the moment when I saw it. It felt dramatically different from what I saw on books. The figures seem alive! I don't have any religious background and still appreciate how marvelous it is! The church itself was a brilliant creation too. My Italian friend took me around it.

“Go and see it even if you do not have "The Last Supper" tickets”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Out of all the churches in Milan (and there are a lot) I would put this in the top 3 or 4 for sure. If you can get "The Last Supper" tickets then great but even if you can't it is worth seeing. The church does also have a set of Da Vinci sketches in the adjacent building - yes you have to pay for it but it is worth doing (especially if you get a combined ticket and go to Pinacoteca Ambrosiana as well).

“The highlight of Milan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

After visiting this stunning church, you are led to the refectory in which lies one of the most famous paintings of Renaissance Italy- Da Vinci's Last Supper.
The painting is a masterpiece and no art or history lover should visit Milan and not see it.
Well worth it!
