Owner description: For sheer belle époque splendor, this extravagant 19th-century glass-topped, barrel-vaulted tunnel serves as a lively, noisy and colorful shopping mall, teeming with life and inviting you to people-watching from the tables that spill from the Galleria's many bars and restaurants.

“When you don't want to get lost in Milan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

You go to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele and you can dine, shop, window shop or people watch. It's amazing.
Don't forget to look down at the marble floors. They compete with the rest quite well.

“Rain or shine this place draws a crowd”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

This has been my second time in Milan this year, and rain or shine, you can count on the crowds. A regal walk through the elegant shops, and off we went to find stores more in our price range. A lovely view, but for me -just window shopping.

“Always look up and down”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

The galleria Vittorio Emanuele ll would have to be one of the most beautiful arcades in the world. make sure you look up and down as details are everywhere. I came to Milan for the first time 3 years ago and there was a McDonalds in here that was so incredibly out of place - thankfully its gone now. You can find small artisans and larger Italian designers here.

“So nice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan is so nice old "shopping mall". The structure is formed by two glass-vaulted arcades intersecting in an octagon covering the street connecting Piazza del Duomo to Piazza della Scala. Very expensive restaurants there but you are in the heart of Milan!

“Shoppers paradise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2013

This is probably a shoppers paradise - lots of big giant brands from Prada to Gucci. It's right next to the Duomo cathedral. There appears to be some sort of ritual where people spin on the bull that is featured in the floor tiles at the centre of this shopping mecca.
