Very pleasant hotel. Plastic cups almost brought down my rating. They're horrid - very 1*. Breakfast very much worth the 7 euro per person price tag, especially as not much competition in the locality. We had a very quiet room with balcony on 7th floor @ rear of building.
The no14 tram stops outside door and goes to Duomo. Recommend buying metro/tram/bus passes rather than the more expensive Milano Card which didn't give us any value. 1,2 or 3 day passes can be bought from newsagents shops. Coffee from machines in metro unexpectedly excellent & very cheap!
We visited in August and a lot of local shops were closed. We found a wonderful Italian pizza shop which sold only one dish per night for 5 euros. It was full of Italians & had wonderful atmosphere. Round the corner @ the Old Fox Pub, via c. da sesto, run by Italians, we found beer for 3 euros a pint - most unusual in Milano.
Recommend taking moskito percautions!
