I was initially apprehensive about coming here since it was ranked so low on Tripadvisor, had a great time and can't see what the fuss is about. I came here in the evening with some business colleagues and it was fantastic. The decor is striking and modern, with the door way leading up to some energy saving escalators (no they aren't broken, they will start when you get on). When you get upstairs is when the full scale of the place hits you. The restaurant must easily have taken up the whole 1st floor of a building and pride of place is the wonderful "starters" area.
How it works is everyone on the table orders the buffet, which is different to the starters area, and waiters will bring you grilled meat on a stick. The starters area is like paradise on earth, with a massive central table filled like a savoury Charlie's chocolate factory. There is a specialised sushi chef making sushi, there is all kinds of seafood including scallops, prawns, oysters, salmon, as well as other Mediterranean delicacies like antipasti, cheeses and hams.
Number 1 top tip is to fill up on 1 plate of expensive seafood then leave it, because once the time is up they start bringing meat like there is no tomorrow! All different parts of different delicious animals start appearing literally within 60 seconds of each other and if you can't keep up you have had it. Don't fill up on tasty cheesy bread or filler meats like ham, because top quality meats like sirloins, rumps, ribeyes etc come out. Need less to say, go when you are hungry. I would urge any true carnivore to detour to this place.
