“Come i milanesi.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2014

I was living for 5 months in Milan, looking for great restaurants when I finally found this one. i have to say that was the best risotto i ever ate in my whole life. If you want really great italian food, that's your place. Forget about the ones in Piazza Duomo, Da Cecco is not in the historic center, but worth it! The staff was great, food delicious and fair prices. There's no other place in the city like that one.

“Great pizza!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2013

Serves nice thin crust pizza - just what we were hoping to eat in Milan (after a diasterous experience the previous night at Rosso di Brera). Friendly (very Italian) service. Slightly tacky décor but charming in a way. Packed with locals (seemed like). Would definitely eat here again the next time we're in Milan.

“The best pizza in Milan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

We have tried some more pizza places in Milan, but this is the best pizza and pasta there. The prices are reasonable and the service is great.

“Good quality and price for the center”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

During a weekend in Milan, I have recommended this restaurant in near the center.
Excellent first fish dishes and exceptional seconds. No surprise in the bill. Good rapport quality and price.

“Mom n Pop Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

We found on TA and took a taxi over for dinner at 7:15. We got scared because it only had 4 patrons, so we walked to main section of area for other choices. After seeing the masses choose large scale dining with no appeal, we went back.
Now the place was full of locals having great meals. We got a table in the back near the kitchen and proceeded to have a ball. The owner, waiters, kitchen staff, all are fully engaged in making your meal the best.
We ordered bruschetta, two pastas, 3 waters, 2 bottles of vino, 3 main dishes, and one desert for 160€. We had the Seafood Grand Platter, the Meat Mix Platter, and the veal chop with potato. Too much food but all delicious. We laughed and joked with our waiter and really enjoyed being made welcome as we were the only non locals in the place. Will probably go again tomorrow as it was THAT good!
Don't let the block appearance make you shy away. It's right around the corner from some really accessible rip offs.
