“great value and easy location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 14, 2013

As a lone female safety always comes first. Great location close to metro and therefore all sights. Rooms small but modern and all amenities. Breakfast was good, not huge choice but you would be unreasonable not to find something to eat. I'd stay again!

Room Tip: Beware the late night Irish pub noise.

Stayed a few nights in this hotel in August, on a holiday weekend when most of the city was empty and closed. The hotel was however easily reachable: the subway line passing by had both the old town and the Milan Centrale train station just a few metro stops away, connecting from Centrale also to Malpensa airport with the Malpensa Express train.

The hotel itself was modern, probably very recently renovated and spotlessly clean. We had a large room facing the inner yard and it was very quiet. Very friendly and relaxed staff, and good breakfast having also healthy options like fresh fruits and yoghurt available.

Only stayed here for 1 night for a short stay in Milan but this hotel was in a good location

Not in the middle of the city but 30m from a metro station so was really easy to catch a metro to Duomo for shopping etc.

It was also good value for money, with breakfast included, breakfast was just average though

Room was adequate but nothing over the top. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet, usually amenities
Only thing was that room was on the small side but manageable with 2 large bags, 2 small bags and briefcase etc for the 2 of us

Nothing great, but if you need value for money this is a good choice, but if not something closer to the city might be better

One weird thing, when you leave the hotel you have to leave the key to the room with them. Not sure why but I've never had to do this at any other hotel

I would defiantly recommend this hotel, service was great all request and suggestions were addressed promptly, After traveling from Venice to Milan we were so tired , they had a valet parking for 20 euro witch we glad to use. location is in the walking distance to the metro, and short ride to all attractions, defiantly comeback to this place, We booked earlier and got perfect rate and good room, Internet is slow there, to check e-mails and basic surfing is ok, but to make inet calls or watch video is slow,

We stayed her for 2 nights recently and found it to be a very quiet place in a great location and only 50m from a metro stop on a main line (2 metro stops from Duomo/City centre). The rooms are a very good size, the staff very helpful/friendly and the breakfast boasts quite an extensive range with bacon, eggs, breads, meats, croissants, yoghurt, fruit and real tea/coffee made for you. We will certainly stay here again when next in Milan!

For those of you who like to stay in small and individual hotels in a city, the Hotel Five in Milan is a great choice. Very convenient locatedwith 50 metres to the metro station Porta Romana, it is a perfect place for a city trip.
The hotel staff is exceptionally nice and friendly (Thanks to Luca at the reception). The rooms are stylish, modern and new. The bathrooms are very clean and aven the single rooms are perfect for a few nights.
The breakfast has great choices of joghurts, cakes, bread and a warm selection of scrambled eggs and bacon. You get fresh coffee from the bar and the hot chocolate I asked for was fantastic!
Even though my room was facing the front of the hotel (an Irish pub s just across from it...very convenient!) it was quiet and I could sleep very well.
Book your room via their internet webpage, you get a discount there too and the notifications you receive via email keep you up to date with the status of your booking.
So overall I can only highly recommend this place and I am looking forward to coming back soon.

We stayed for one night in August at hotel Five and we loved it. We have a triple room , whit one double bad and one single bad. The room is cleen and the bathroom is spacious enough( very clean also). The location is perfect as it is next to PT romana subway.
Breakfast selection is also good and the coffee is very good!. Several nice restaurants around. There is an Irish pub across the street. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
Hotel Five is a good choice in Milan

Room Tip: The Metro is very easy to use and gets you to the Duomo in a few minutes.
