“Fast and delicious”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and efficiency of the staff there. There are some terrible reviews on here but having not read them before going I am happy I have this place a chance.

I went there at lunch time when it was very busy. We were seated fast and Our food arrived extremely fast- less than 10mins (I ordered the dish of the day which I presume they cook in batch and warm up).

It was delicious and filling and more importantly it was reasonably priced.

I would definetly return if I can find my way back there.

“Faithful to Sicilian cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

It is a very sweet place, elegant with its picture frames recalling Sicily. Very nice and young staff, exquisite food and atmosphere. Just make sure you understand what the ingredients are in every dish so you might not choose similar things but try new tastes.

“fast lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2014

this is one of the good places for a fast lunch in Milan centre, about 100m away from the gallery and Vittorio Emanuelle.
Food is good, basic sicilian kitchen. I really enjoyed the pasta with artichokes, and it arrived maybe 5minutes after I ordered! prices are decent.
Loads of seating (downstairs is bigger than upstairs), maybe a bit chaotic, certainly noisy at lunch, filled mainly with people working in the centre.
If you go downstairs, not all mobile phones work (you might see this as a good or a bad thing).

Dessert are good as well.

“bad service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

The food quality is really variable, something can be really tasty (caponata) something else not special at all (focaccia). The service is really bad, the customer does not feel welcome at all. Typical touristic restaurant where the customers will not come for a second time.

“Excellent choice for before theatre dining in Central Milano”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 19, 2013

This is the Milan branch of a restaurant whose main branch is in Palermo, Sicily. It is open all day up to late evening and serves what they refer to as "street food" as well as normal Italian meals but specializing in the cuisine of Sicily. We had a concert to attend so we chose to eat early (7 PM is too early for most restaurants) and found the place was just starting to fill up. We chose to eat the street food which offers tasty delicacies such as fried stuffed rice balls, meat and fish roulade, and the featured focaccias. However, people familiar with Genovese focaccia will be very surprised. They offer several selections of focaccias but in fact all appear as sandwiches where the bread looks like a normal bread rolls. This was our only disappointment per se. The food was otherwise very tasty. We could recommend the platters with a selection of several different appetizers and that seemed the choice of most tables around the room. A word of caution however that the food is not only very tasty but is quite filling so one should order one dish for each person and only after finishing those then ordering more if still hungry. We noticed that they prepared their dishes quite fast so one won't miss the theater if having to add a bit more to the tummy. As for sweets, we could not manage enough room however behind a display case, they looked to be very attractive. Perhaps another time we might go back just for desserts.
