“Traditional, a finding in Milan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 29, 2013

There are many great restaurants in Milan, no doubt. But this one makes you feel warm, makes you sing and laugh, takes you back and away to another side of today's elegant Milan. Starting from the heavy doors with interesting illustrations presenting the 4 seasons, then the interior in traditional style... it makes you feel so different. The staff is dressed in traditional clothes, the fire is on and the polenta is made just before dinner starts - it is interesting to see. Dinner starts and the food is different again. As the old traditions of Northern Italy are preserved here, you might find it little similar to the other modern restaurants. But it is yummy! Wine is great and you can pour some directly from the barrel yourself. And as the evening goes, the music starts. You will find the songs in a booklet on the table. Akordeon plays and everybody starts singing... Great place, simply from the heart! A must in Milan!

“Charming place!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013 via mobile

I went there with my girlfriend for a dinner. When we entered the place it was empty, but after a while it got completely full. The food was great and the music that has been played by a nice guy with accordion was fantastic!

“Exciting restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013 via mobile

We had a dinner in this restaurant with our family (2 adults, 3 kids) and it was a great experience.
On an evening of a hot Saturday in July this place was not too crowded. The food was delicious and we did enjoy the dinner in a traditional Italian atmosphere including the hand-made music performed by the owner. Very friendly waiter and definitely not a tourist trap. More Italy is impossible to get ... ;-)

“It's just got to be experienced...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2011

Big double brass doors, leading to what can only be described as a German influenced restaurant, I was told that its based on a Italian theme very close to the border...
Food was hearty and tasty, beer good, wine was fine - it comes out of a self help tap, over a font..., waitresses were great and tell you off for not eating everything.. recommend the Wolf Menu, great value at €40 ahead including as much wine as you want , before you are filled with Grappa from the giant boot, the singalong booklet on the table should give you a hint, as the guy with the accordion and microphone starts singing early, a really good night, must be tried... wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Really nice place with traditional food of northern Italy. Very friendly stuff. Live music in evening (accordion / fisarmonica), you can find the lyrics on each table :-)
