“Great mozzarella and service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

The concept is great, the product excellent.
The service is also very good.

The whole last floor of La Rinascente at Milano is a must for anyone who loves great food and ambience.

At my first visit at Obika, I had a plate of mozzarella and tomato at 12 Euro. The portion was very generous: a good value for money in relation to Milano market.

In one week in Milano, I was at that place every day and I had meal at Obika 3 times.

Experience to be repeated.

“Views of the Duomo are the Best part”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2013

On a recent trip to Milan we were SO EXCITED to go to Obika. It seemed to be perfect for us to stop for a late afternoon snack and wine while touring the city and visiting the Duomo. It failed to live up to our high expectations but was not a complete disappointment.
This mozzarella bar is located on a high floor in an upscale Italian department store, La Rinascente, and overlooks the fabulous Duomo. That is all wonderful.
The menu is full of varieties of delicious Italian snacks centered on mozzarella such as antipasti and pizza.
The waitress assigned to our table seemed bothered by us and annoyed to have to serve us. With the exception of the Burratta the mozzarella was not impressive-we have had equal and even superior many times previously even in the US. The truffled salami had an aroma that made my mouth water and tasted divine as well. Other accompaniments were just average.
I would give the location 5 stars, the food 3-4 stars and the service 2 stars but would hesitate to recommend this establishment.

“Modern Italian food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

We ate out on the patio overlooking the Duomo and it was wonderful. They make their own mozzerella cheeses which are fantastic. The pizzas were good as well and the pastas looked delicious. If you end up having to put your name on the waiting list, pay attention, you will only get one chance to hear your name before they move on! Great people watching, folks from all over the world, a great slice of life!

“If you don't like Mozzarella ... go there!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

And you learn to love it in less then an hour. Try the pure taste of mozzarella which you can only get in the best place in town. And while you are there, try the smoked version. That one is really awesome. Wonderful place, well decorated, nice staff and superb fresh food. This should be the first place to visit when in Milan.

“very strange place to eat , very strange food, but give it a go”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

A restaurant very near the Duomo with spectacular view of the church. the entrance is difficult to find, but don't give up and ignore the homeless people setting up for the night. the food- mozzarella mainly is fantastic, hams and salami abound and the champagne bar attached is not bad too
