“Very good hotel for money what you pay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

We have been in hotel Della Torre by end of July of 2013 as family .
Hotel is on good and bad location on same time. Good location is because lake is few minutes walk away and there is station for ferry ( Carciano ) which can drive you to all islands and places around. As well there is starting point for cable car for mountain top Mottarone (beautiful panoramic view - must to see). Also, hotel is 10-15 min walking away from downtown of Stressa and you can walk near lake side which is very beautiful.
Bad position of hotel is for guests with rooms looking to mountain (opposite to lake). From that side of hotel is railway and trains are running quite often, It is not possible to sleep with open windows. But when you close windows and run air-condition (which is good) then is Ok.
Stuff in hotel is very frendly, polite and always want to help. Food is good (nothing special but not bed as well). Swimming pool is nice.
So, in sumarry hotel is very good for money what you pay and I would recommend it.

General note. Sressa is full of mosquito's. First I thought maybe that is just those few days (a lot of mosquito's) but if you go in any local pharmacy, you can find a lot of preparations to protect yourself from mosquito's. For a couple of days, our child (and we as well) has been bitten by mosquito's..

Room Tip: rooms on higher floors with lake view are very good

A lovely hotel impeccably kept ,cleanliness is given a top priority, buffet breakfast good and wholesome ,the staff are all very polite ,helpful, friendly and always with a smile on their face. Due to our early departure at 6am on a Sunday morning we are given tea at hotel and each member of my family was given a packed lunch such a sweet gesture which made us feel so pampered.A wonderful experience!

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of a 6 week trip with a 20 month old. We arrived smelly and exhausted at noon, and were thrilled to find out that our room was ready. I think were given a larger room because of the baby cot which they provided (spotless by the way...). The room was very clean and we loved the little balcony. The only thing that prevented me from giving it a 5 star review would be the street noise was loud even late at night. It is a very pleasant 10-15 minute walk to downtown Stresa, mostly along a a lovely lakeside promenade. The staff were extremely kind and patient with our jetlagged toddler! The pool was small, but clean and very well maintained. We very much enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2013

Stayed with family in this hotel for four nights in August just a 10 mins walk to the main hub of Stressa, the food was good quality (avoid Daniels Bar on the way not good quality) thought the value for money in Stressa very good. The Hotel snack bar was also good value and they didn't rip you off. They were very strict about either leaving oour shoes on the rack and walking through the bacterial bath into swimming pool are or walking through the bath in your flipflops. There were quite a few wasps around the pool my son was stung twice once whilst walking around the pool he trod on a wasp and later that day whilst he was lying on the sunbed he was stung. He wasn't stung anymore times must have been a bad day. The room i thought at first was clean until I found a rusty shaver by the bidet and cobwebs around the side lamp although those little spider could have spun another one after the cleaner had been. The first night they do a turn down service where they leave a little chocolate on your pillow. We had breakfast in the hotel which was cold meat cheese, yogurt either corn flakes or muesli, croissant with an unusual filling nobody liked. bowl of peaches and pineapple. Cake, toast and lots of different jams and preserves (No hot) if you order drinks off piste you will be charged e.g. expresso or a cappuccino (it was Italy) they do do coffee, normal tea, green tea or hot chocolate. Maybe there should have bee covers on the meat and cheese as there were always flies buzzing over these. It does sound like I am doing the hotel down, but apart from this the hotel was very nice there was free wifi in the reception area, parking was 7.50 euro per day. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The hotel room was nice a big with good storage space and a t.v. beds were large and comfortable and good quality sheets and pillow. I would stay again.

Not travelled with Low Cost Holidays before but would do so again. Everything worked well including the excellent taxi sent to collect us to and from the airport.
Hotel has great pool and friendly staff but one issue is the railway that runs behind the hotel (and many others in that area) Best to get a room at the front of the hotel rather than the back but we did actually get used to the noise of the freight trains by the end of the week.

Just back of a week holiday in Stresa. We went to this hotel 3 years ago. The first time we find it very good so we decided to go back again. This time with a boot. The hotel employees have found out everything for us how it works when you have a (large) boot with you. They phoned for us and they helped us several times to organise things. Really perfect ! The hotel employees are very kind and the owner, Cina, is a very kind and service oriented person. In the contrary to other Italian people the employees speak good French, English, German and they even have a dutch speaking person. Great ! Flexibility is very high, good food, rooms have good airco and a nice swimming pool. We advice this hotel to everyone.

Avoid room 205 at all costs. Its a total misrepresentation of what is offered on their web site!
Food very poor
