“Peaceful villa”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

Fancy Victorian decor, more sober but still pretty in (cheaper) annex. Lovely garden. Family-run and friendly. Local railway tracks run just uphill from the villa, but trains move slowly, and we did not hear any past 22.30. Breakfast was abundant but a touch disappointing as all dairy and juices were discount-brand, out of synch with the elegant settings. Cake and bread good.

My husband and I are here on a business stay in this wonderful hotel. We have a room on the third floor with balcony offering a fantastic view of the quaint streets below and expansive lakeview. The room is very comfortable with no complaints regarding temperature in room which can normally be a big problem in other hotels. Wifi connection in room is excellent along with private parking in grounds, A wonderful breakfast offering quality bread, good coffee and fresh produce. the staff are most helpful and all offer service with a smile. all in all this is an excellent hotel for either business or holiday. We will certainly return.....
We are frequent business travellers and this hotel will certainly be going on the top ladder of " my most favourite hotels while travelling" Absolutely no complaints

This was our last hotel in the lakes area & the worth of all. Despite of its good location, we found the room as an average one, compared to other hotels we have stayed in this area. We were charged E127 which is not a reasonable price for this old style hotel.
Despite the "view" from the room, the shower water temp. was suddenly changing from very cold to very hot which should be considered as a safety issue.
In addition, there was a bad smell coming from the toilets, probably from the sewage.
The lady at the reception did not want to hear our complaints, indicating that most of the hotel guests are very satisfied & she won't bother from one dissatisfied couple.
Judge this attitude & look for other hotels in the area. Some of the 5 star hotels in front of the lake may offer a much reasonable price for your money.

You can spend lots more on accomodation on this lake and not get better service and comfort. Hotel du Parc is across the village centre from the lake and this means about five minutes' walk through a pleasant, almost traffic-free place full of quaint old buildings and shop windows. You're not guaranteed to have a view on the lake from your room but that will save you a lot of money you can spend on food and souvenirs. Parking in the hotel's grounds, which are indeed park-like, is free and convenient.
The hotel is an old building, with the dependance silghtly more modern but less charming. The decoration looks like something out of an old movie, but it all adds to the charm. Everything technical you want to function does so very correctly, so if fashion has left behind the bathroom tiles and the tapestries it doesn't matter for overall quality of life. Somehow, this 1950-1970 atmosphere befits Stresa as a location very well, it all blends in.

Room Tip: The rooms in the main building have high ceilings and are obviously closer to the common rooms. The...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night only on our trip to the lakes, Venice, and Milan. We enjoyed our stay. We had the annexe. The hotel was easy to find, it has beautiful buildings and yard since it is a former villa. It is close to the center but very quiet. The room was not big but well equipped and very clean. Breakfast was amazing: very rich selection, big and beautiful dining room. Plenty of parking spaces within the hotel's yard. The staff was very kind and helpful with their tips. We took a boat to the islands and walked along the lake shore.
It is a great place to stay while in the area.

Room Tip: We stayed at the annexe so we don't know about the main hotel building, but the annexe rooms wer...

My husband and I just returned from Stress a few weeks ago and stayed at Hotel du Parc for three nights....all of which we thoroughly enjoyed. The location could not be any better being a five minute walk into the center of the adorable little town. From there you can sit in the square sipping wine and shop and people watch....or take the ferry back and forth to the various villages. Iso Bella is not to be missed....and only a 10 minute ferry ride away. The gardens are beyond spectacular and so is the palace. if you have a car it is worth it to drive 45 mins to the medieval village or Orta....stunning and charming. Now, back to the hotel. The staff was very helpful and extremely friendly. The rooms were fine and so was the price. We stayed on the third floor and from our window you could see the lake and all the little rooftops. Breakfast was in a big sunlit room with just about anything you would want. We loved our three day stay there.

This was or second stay at Hotel Du Parc (we spent a lovely week there in late September early October and experienced Fall at Lago Maggiore). On arrival we were welcomed warmly, it felt like a homecoming. Pupa, Carla and the rest of the team at this family run Hotel are exceptional, they cannot do enough for you. They gave us wonderful hints on where the markets are held in different towns on different days and we had great fun travelling to Arona and Luino to do some thrifty shopping and of course see different towns. The one trip was by bus, the other by ferry. We wanted to go and see Lake Orta but, this being the end of the season, there was no longer a bus running - no problem, Pupa organised transport for us and we had a wonderful day out at this exquisite beauty spot. Our room at the Hotel Du Parc was great, we were on the 2nd floor (room 11) which has a balcony and a lake view - lovely comfortable beds and of course extremely spacious. The Hotel is set in beautiful grounds and you can sit outdoors and relax after a day out and enjoy an aperitif or a cup of tea. Breakfasts are divine with much to eat, the setting in the baronial dining room is just wonderful. To get into the little townitself is but a five minute leisurely walk. I highly recommend Hotel Du Parc and will most certainly return there when next visiting Lago Maggiore.

Room Tip: Request a room facing the lake for great views.
