Al Rustico is located in the village of Someraro, up the hill from Stresa, Italy. It is a family-run restaurant featuring typical Italian dishes not always on the local menus. The owners speak limited English but have a menu in English to help you. It is fairly small (8 tables) and feels like a hideaway since it is on the bottom floor of a three-story house. We went to this restaurant twice in a week, in part because the owners were very friendly, and in part because the food was very good. The strudel dessert was very highly recommended by the kids in attendance. Choices included penne with mushrooms, beef filets with various sauces, fish, and sides of potatoes that were very good. Overall a place you should try to go to if you're in Stresa. It's hard to find without a GPS, but it shows up on Google Maps. Hillside and small parking lot parking was available. Prices were very reasonable.
