This restaurant is a pearl. We have eaten many times in this place from where at summer you can sit just by the lake and watch boats go by or boats to arrive at the pier and then after lunch take a trip to Stresa. Signora of the house is originally Norwegian, and she is a charming woman. She has lived in Italy with her husband nearly 40 years now but she still has her trolls and some Norwegian dishes on the menu. The fish, like salmon, is very good in this place. The antipasto has a Scandinavian dish which has a few varieties of raw slightly salted fish. Most of the dishes are Italian, however. One of the bests first courses are ravioli slightly sautéed with salvia and butter and the tagliatelle with chili and tomatoes which one of my teen aged friends considers the best pasta dish she has ever eaten. The second courses are changing with seasons. All in all this is gurmét.
