This was the 4th of 6 properties we stayed at during three weeks in Europe during October of '13, and was the worst of the lot. Great location, but in need of renovation. Rooms were spacious but a strange room- door configuration made the rooms cumbersome to lock up at night. The AC didn't cool the stuffy room and leaving the windows open for cooling invited mosquitos inside by the droves so the choice was: be hot at night, OR be eaten up at night. We stayed with a friend couple traveling with us and they had the same opinion. The pool had black algae on the grout all over the pool that made it seem grimy. There was a pool cleaning employee that took fully two days to scrape the grout clean of the algae, but he didn't close the pool during this time and the then-floating algae was like swimming in a frog pond somewhere in the countryside. The buffet breakfast was ok, but the fresh fruit had fruit flies swarming around it between guest visits.
We WERE offered water during our departure, but asked to pay for it. Most nice places give you such things, but this left a departing perception that we were not special in any way, just a departing revenue source. I
We will not return here anytime soon, there are way too many other good choices.
4 star location, 2 star property.
