Hotel du Lac is in a quiet lakeside position with stunning views over the Lake. The casual passer by may not realise that as well as a bar, it serves lunch only to non-residents (not dinner) on its magnificent (but sheltered) terrace from 1230-1530 each day. It is a modest menu but each item is generous and perfectly presented. A small and well chosen wine list is explained by the knowledgeable waiter. There are only about 10 tables, and by 1.30 they were all full - so I'd advise getting there early. What is great is that it is completely away from the rather overcrowded lake-front which get all the tourist trade. Here is peace, elegance, and quiet where one can sit and contemplate beauty, both gastronomic and visual. 100 Euros for 3, with wine, mineral water, and coffee, was exceptional value for a truly memorable meal.
