We're a couple living and traveling between Italy and Switzerland. What we can say is:
Whatever concerns seafood is really well mastered at Ittico. We tried a complete degustation of violet and red shrimps, different Atlantic oysters, prawns, wild sea-fish (grouper), Catalan pulp salad, fried mozzarella in carrozza with shrimps, tuna-fish and sea-bass tartare & carpaccio, carbonara fished pasta, tuna-fish based ragu pasta, and various desserts; furthermore they offered us a fried shrimps and prosecco aperitif and some digestive.
In conclusion, we can say that the service is excellent, they are always on time, you can easily talk and debate with the three owners and the chef himself. We're interested in knowing the oysters and shellfish origins and they answered to all our doubts and questions with a great professional competence, leaving us with such a nice wish to come back as soon as we can. I think Ittico is a reference point in wine, fish and crustacean restoration and a truly unique place sui generis, with their cool oyster baskets and barrels, a great wine and champagne choice, and finally a top jazz music background. I warmly suggest this restaurant to whoever love sitology and to live a different, challenging and tasty evening. We have been in couple but I suggest you to book if in group. And of course, I'm gonna be back! Thank you for offering us such new kind of pleasure in Italy.
