“Loved the View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Stayed in two rooms at the hotel, first room didn't have a view of the lake but had a nice balcony on the 4th floor, we wanted a lake view so moved the second & third night to a room with a lake view. It was in a separate building from the main hotel but we loved it. It was a ground floor room with two lounge chairs, an umbrella and a small table with two chairs right outside the room. We had a beautiful view of the lake and it was very private. The room itself was dated but we didn't really spend much time in it. We were either walking around the town, riding in boats, relaxing in the pool or sitting outside. The breakfast that came with the room was good, plenty of choices. Location was perfect, short walk into the main town or into the little village on the back side.

We were a group of cyclists from Québec, on a tour organised by Vélo-Québec, in August of this year. Conclusion : 15 out of 15 cyclists said: marvelous site, warmfull welcome, excellent service, pertinent informations on all questions, clean rooms, enough space in each room, courtesy all the time, excellent food. and the lady director was always aware of our stisfaction.
We recommand that hotel to live, for a moment, il paradiso Richard in the name of all the group

Room Tip: A room with a vue on the lake. Spectracular

what a superb room we got with a great view, top floor in the tower with two out side areas, location was great as it was just at the start of Bellagio town, a few mins walk from some good restaurants & bars and there is another little village just below it, great area if you want to go for a walk about.
there restaurant in the hotel is really good with a lovely view of the lake as you eat, nice pool and very good spa, very well kept gardens and patio area

This gemm of a hotel has been run by five generations of women from the same family! Their attention to detail is superb! The cleanliness and condition are incredible for the age of the property; the library is not to be missed, the views and its walking distance to the village are perfect! I would stay here again and again, the front desk team was warm, friendly and helpful!

Room Tip: Get a room with lake view!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in August of this year. We payed a bit extra and had one of the contemporary rooms off of the lawn area just above the pool. If you can, stay in one of these rooms. They are clean, comfortable, COOL (thank heavens), and have two lounge chairs assigned for your use on the lawn outside your door. The view is fabulous overlooking the pool and of course the magnificent lake and mountains. The pool itself is very nice, with a nice shaded bar area next to it. The jacuzzi is fabulous and has a wonderful view of the lake.

The hotel staff was very helpful and put up with my many questions. The only real negative was the food. There's not much you can do to mess up breakfast, which was fine. But the quality of the lunch and dinner dining did NOT do the hotel justice. The swordfish was SO overcooked and looked and tasted like it had been reheated more than once. Another of my meals was a medley of brown food. All the food on my plate was brown, and the flavor didn't make up for the unappatizing look. The round lump of brown pureed vegies reminded me of walks through the cow field. Sorry, but it really did! I've never seen such an unappatizing plate. I hope the management reads this and takes steps to improve the dining experience. I know I wasn't alone in this as one other couple we spoke to felt the same. Oh yes, and then there was the pushy waitress who INSISTED I eat a dessert that I didn't order. She brought it back to me after I sent it away explaining they had made a mistake. Weird! I ate it like a good girl!

Would I return to the hotel...probably. I really loved the room & view. The location is not far to walk into Bellagio. Wonderful shopping in Bellagio. We loved our meal in the town of Varenna just up the lake by boat. Ask for directions to the fish restaurant "Silvio" , it's worth the walk.
Consider returning to Como by boat rather than by car & driver. The drive to Bellagio is VERY long and VERY windy on a narrow road. Something to be aware of. Ciao!!

Loved this hotel, we stayed for one night and the location was brilliant, there are many walks you can do and explore the other side of Bellagio. The pool was nice and the view spectacular. Service at the front desk very good.
