The architecture is certainly grand with both great views & service. It's priced accordingly with our room being a very good size, well appointed with lovely views of the lake.
Breakfast was taken in the ball room. The room has sensational classic architecture and the service was also very good. The food was good but nothing special for a high end resort hotel (plus they could invest in a new toaster). Great espresso :-)
Other Dinning - enjoyed drinks and a lunch by the pool.
Post dinner live classical music and dancing does set the scene! Once again, in a room that is grand.
We enjoyed dining at Mistral restaurant and shall review separately.
On a less positive note, one night, we were awoken at 3am by other guest walking down the passage followed by the room door slamming closed. The 3rd floor entrance from the elevator has a lovely marble type floor, maybe a rug/runner would assist with the noise, as would soft door closer mechanisms for the room doors.
The lack of in-room tea/coffee facilities should be noted as per no ironing allowed in rooms (online research indicates due to safety laws however these needs were accommodated at other hotels in Italy that we visited). Plus safety seems like a contradiction with what appeared to be smoking allowed in rooms.
