“Out of a movie set”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

The view from the restaurant and its former palace ambiance transport you to a sense of deja vu in a movie you've seen before.

“The food was gorgeous, the location stunning, the service was average and the bill was HUGE!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

We dined here on our first night in Bellagio. There is something a little bit magical about the setting on the terrace, in front of the pool with the backdrop of Como just behind. The food was sensational- the Chicken Caesar Salad starter was gorgeous and the focaccia with ham and mozzarella was melt in the mouth good. The ravioli main course was one of the best dishes that we ate during the whole holiday. The wine was fantastic and overall we had a gorgeous evening, ending the night on a shared Tiramisu. However, one warning. Do not be tempted to finish the evening with a couple of liqueurs. A round of Amaretto's for 4 added 80 euros to the bill. Absolutely extortionate.

Overlooking the hotel pool and the lake was delightful and the food was just wonderful. It was a terrific lunch and I highly recommend this spot.

“Expensive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

La Grotta is part of the hotel Villa Serbelloni which has a beautiful view of Lake Como. Lunch was very good, the waiters very attentive, but it was very expensive.

“Beautiful setting, Fantastic Service, Great Pool-side Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

At the end of the main street running along Lake Como, you'll find the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio. Enter prior to the main gate to access the lower restaurant (LaGoletta). Sit outside, which offers a great view of the pool, Lake Como, and the mountains beyond.
The service is by and far the best I've experienced in Italy, and the food was amazing. If you love fish, go with the La Trota Salmonata allo Spiedo. Actually, everything is first rate - from the pizzas, to the pastas and salads.
