San Remo has a restaurant/bar/gelateria along the main walkway in lower Bellagio. Across the street they also have an outdoor area. You enjoy a fantastic lake view while sitting underneath a lovely tree canopy. You think you're sitting underneath a covering of grapevines. The ambiance is extremely relaxing & very conducive for conversation with other people at nearby tables. The food, wine & beer are reasonably priced for a tourist area. The waiters were most attentive, unlike the outdoor bar/restaurant owned by Hotel Excelsior Splendide. The freebies brought during each visit were excellent quality, varied, and always included hunks of parmagiano reggiano. One day we had white lasagna & vegetable soup for lunch. They serve a LOT OF VEGETABLE SOUP. Now we know why. It's excellent!! We're both outstanding cooks. Their restrooms are located inside the restaurant. We met the owner & told her the broth in her soup was phenominal. The beer was always cold. The service was excellent. In 4 days we visited 5 or 6 times. We started or ended every night here with drinks.
Don't miss San Remo when you visit Bellagio.
