“Very comfortable with a great view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2013

The apartment was very spacious and comfortable, with a large patio, with a wonderful, unobstructed view of the lake and mountains. Free parking under the building. The property is about 2 km by road from the town of Bellagio. You don't want to walk on the very busy road, which is narrow and twisty with no sidewalks. There is a way to walk to town during the day without going on the road, passing through the grounds of Villa Melzi, which are worth seeing anyway. The friendly and helpful staff will give you a map. Otherwise you drive and pay for parking, or use the free shuttle service. We found 2 problems with the apartment during our stay. The first is that there were minimal cooking and eating supplies - no bowls for cereal, only one pot and one pan, no condiments such as salt and pepper. The second is that the hotel shuts off the air conditioning when the outside temperature is 23 degrees C. or lower. Our unit had no windows, so the only way to provide ventilation was to open the sliding doors to the patio, which we did not want to do when we were sleeping. Therefore the room became too hot at night.

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your kind review, it is a pleasure.
Please consider that it is not possible to have air conditioning when the whole hotel has heating system on, as it is winter and cold for most of our guests.
Hope to accommodate you in the future! Thank you
Your Reception Desk :-)

My wife and I recently visited Lake Como and were fortunate to stay at Borgo le Terrazze. Wow is all that can be said. We stayed in the Bellagio Suite and I have to say the views from the hotel and especially from our room were stunning. This is a fantastic property, absolutely stunning location and a friendly and welcoming staff. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family. Being in Italy for 2 weeks meant my wife was having withdrawals from being away from our golden retriever....well the hotel even helps in this area. Kim the hotel's own dog was a wonderful way for my wife to love on him and get her dog fix while we were away. Elena runs a beautiful hotel and if you are looking for a great place to stay around Bellagio, this should be at the top of your list. Our room was beautiful, the view was postcard amazing and everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel operates a convenient free shuttle to Bellagio where the town or ferry is just steps away. We highly recommend this choice in hotel.

Room Tip: Suite Bellagio was amazing. However, I can't imagine there are any bad rooms. The only knock w...

I recently stayed here with my girlfriend as a fact finding mission for wedding venues. I happily took the advise of previous guests and reviews listed on here and I'm so glad we did, this hotel is superb, the suit we stayed in had a beautiful terrace that overlooked the lake. What a stunning view to wake up to and this was in October which is out of season.

Breakfast was great with a wide selection, although I think they should just add this to the room price when booking rather than the 10 euro per day, you'll eat here anyway.

Only a short hop into town, although you cannot really walk it as this place is just up the mountain and the roads do no have a curb into town, the shuttle bus is always prompt though.

I'm really gutted as the reception venue we found is the other side of the lake which means we cannot use this as our base now, which would have been ideal. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience Lake Como and Bellagio. Loved it.

Room Tip: Junior Suite with Lake view, terrace overlooks the lake, stunning

The views here are to die for. I must say the drive to this hotel from Como was very scary with our new BMW. The road is very narrow. It is two way but at many points there was only room for one car. The staff was great. Very friendly. The hotel was immaculate and well furnished. However the beds were very hard. They offer a free shuttle into Bellagio. We will certainly be back. We loved it.

Just arrived back in the UK having spent two nights in Bellagio. This is a first class hotel with views to die for. The rooms are tastefully decorated and offer the views described. We chose to drive to the hotel from Milan and found it to be an easy and cheap option. The hotel is located a 20 minute walk from the main centre or guests can make use of the free shuttle bus which runs every two hours or so starting at 10am with the last leaving at 9.45pm. Bellagio is an excellent place to stay and certainly the best part of Lake Como. Really enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend to viewers of trip advisor

We had 4 nights here in September and it was one of the best experiences in our three weeks in Italy. We stayed in one of the superior studios on the same floor as reception which was very quiet at night. It was huge with a kitchenette, dining table, large bathroom, and then an outside dining area with lounger chairs looking out over the lake. We found it so relaxing that we loved coming back to take in the afternoon sun and gaze out at the lake and surrounding mountains. Although we drove here we mostly used the shuttle bus to go into Bellagio and then catch ferries to other places, as well as using it in the evenings to eat out. Although we enjoyed Bellagio we loved being out at Borgo le Terrazze away from the hustle and bustle. We also bought wine and cheeses and ate on our terrace. We thought the breakfasts on offer were great value with fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, cheese and even homemade cake. The staff are lovely, very friendly and there is a really nice atmosphere about the place. If you are visiting Bellagio you get the best of it all by staying here.

Room Tip: The superior suite on the same level as reception was huge and had a lovely terrace looking straight...

Great stay and although a little out of town the regular shuttle bus was a fantastic service. Being up in the area outside of the village and up the hill meant the views were superb. Snacks and drinks on the terrace in the evenings was a great way to wind down after busy days. Room was really good with an attached second bedroom and bathroom and a small kitchen, ideal for a family. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The main criticism was the breakfast buffet which as usual could become a bit boring after the third day.
The staff arranged for a taxi to take us to Milan for an early train which was appreciated.

Room Tip: Get the apartment if you have more than two people.
