“Not exactly lively”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2009

This hotel is convenient for the airport, but not in a particularly pleasant or central part of the town.
The rooms are reasonably sized and fairly well appointed. The decor you will either like or not!
It seems to be a hotel mainly focussed on business travel and conferencing, and is soulless and unexciting for leisure travellers. The place has a dead feel, the staff show little interest, the bar is poor (and empty when we were there, unsurprisingly) and the elevators are extremely slow. The breakfast buffet was poor in choice and quality.
Disappointing overall.

Maybe it's the bizarre architecture and the most awful color scheme I have seen in 25 years of traveling, but this place gave both my friend and I the creeps. The outside of the building is covered in graffiti, with broken windows, the wall paper in our room had water stains. I do have to say that the bathroom was well appointed and the room large, if really ugly.

My wife and I stayed here for one night after flying out from Liverpool. It cost 20 euros in a taxi from the airport. The service from the front desk was superb as was the bar where I used my best Italian to order drinks from a Scottish barman. The room was spacious, clean and everything we needed. A buffet breakfast was more than sufficient for us. We hadn't stopped with the Una chain before but if they are all like this then we will certainly consider them again

i booked that hotel on hotels.com for 115 £ per night. We stayed just one night on the way to milan and lake como. taxi from airport was 18 Euro. taxi counter was very fast and just a loop around hotel to get us to the entrance door cost us 1,5 Euro.
We were a group of 3 people.
First we got a room with a really strong smell of cigarete smoke. When i complened because i booked non - smoking, we got another room. That room was spasious enough for 3 of us with big shower room. Room looked tired and old fasioned, but the most shoking were the colours room decorated in, dark blue and kind of green.
there were plenty of good small things like soaps, shampooes, etc. even a pair of slippers, but just 1 for 3 of us. Shower cabin was with radio and sauna, but when we tried to turn sauna on it started to smell like old socks.
Breakfast was ok but with very limited choise of hot food. breakfast room was tiny, but it wasnt busy there. Breakfast waiters were nice and smiled.
after we bought bus tickets in kiosk just in front of hotel and took a bus to the city centre, bus stop isnt far from hotel. Buses in italy are very reasonable and subway in milan was just 1 Euro in zone 1. i would advise everybody to visit lake como, as it is very beaufiful, there is a direct bus from bergamo to como for about 4,20 Euro, but its 2 hours long journey but the distance between them is just around 65 km.
overall hotel was ok for a night but i wouldnt stay any longer, esspecially for the price i paid.

We spent 11 days in this area with 3 days at the Una Hotel on arrival and two before we flew home.

The airport is quite near and not a 20 euro ride but the driver went the long way around.

There is an airport bus to the bus station and then the number 8 takes you past the hotel. 5 euros willbuy you a three day bus pass.

Una is a fair walk from the Old Town but well worth it.

We hired a car and spent 5 nights in Brenzone, Lake Garda. There are a number of good hotels in this delightful little area of the lake. We stayed in the trasditional Hotel Brenzonei directly on the lake. It was brilliant.

We will do it again.

Firstly the hotel is not next to airport and costs 20 euro in hotel taxi. The hotel room was very comfortable with the sauna shower fantastic. The dinner was fantastic with a 4 course set menu with a bottle of wine only 35 each. The only negative issue was the elevator. Everytime I stepped into it I felt like the wires holding it up were about to break!

  • Liked — It was a big clean comfortable room
  • Disliked — it was 20euro taxi to the airport

This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It has the most interesting architecture: perhaps art deco modern? It is a fun place. The rooms are very large and modern as well as very clean. The people at the reception desk are very helpful. The first time there I said that the dinner menu looked great and the receptionist said no we really must get out and see the town and possibly eat up in the old town area. (Which we did, yum!) The included breakfast is fabulous with very good service. If you go here be sure you have a map of some kind. It can be difficult to find and asking directions requires speaking some Italian.

  • Liked — Room size and decor
  • Disliked — Finding the place the first time we stayed.
