Fantastic family run hotel that offers a taste of country Italy and friendly Italian hospitality. Well priced large room that included free WIFI and Foxtel TV. Free secure parking is available directly across the street. Drive into town takes approx. 5-10 minutes. The hotel offers well priced and very tasty meals as does the restaurant directly opposite the hotel. We thoroughly recommend this hotel for those who are looking for the "real" Italian country feel. Be aware that there are quite a few steps to walk to get to the rooms(no lifts) but the hotel staff are happy to assist with luggage.

Rooms a little dated but clean! Our room had a TINY bathroom, the shower SO tiny that it was extremely hard to do anything in it (like wash body or hair). Our son and daughter-in-law paid 10 euros more and got a huge bathroom and a balcony. If we had known, we would have gotten a room like that. Reception VERY helpful! He told us where we could park our car for free and take a short train ride to cinque terre. Wifi worked fine. Breakfast, a normal Italian breakfast (we LOVE all Italian meals except for their breakfasts.) Great coffee and hot chocolate, though :)

We are a family of four. Our boys are 12 and 13 years old. We stayed at Hotel Nella for three nights in July. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was very spacious and the bathroom had two showers. The hotel is small and has a nice little vibe to it. The staff was very nice and provided great service. We ate at the hotel for dinner one night and all the food was very good. We also ate at the little restaurant around the corner. It was one of the best meals we had during our entire three week trip (try the rabbit).

The hotel isn't in La Spezia. It's actually in a very small village called La Foce about 3 miles from the train station. Once you figure out the bus schedule or if you have a car it's very easy to get to. The views of the bay and the mountains are spectacular from the little village. We took the bus to and from the train station daily because we spent most of our time in Cinque Terre.

The hotel and tiny village was a very pleasant retreat after spending our day exploring a very busy Cinque Terre.

This hotel is a great option if you do not want to stay in central Spezia or directly on the water in CinqueTerra. We wanted a place where we could park the car and spend a nice evening before touring Liguria and E R. The hotel is clean and is right next to a hiking trail.

We found this hotel ok for an overnight stay. You would need a car for sure. Room was ok size. Bed uncomfortable. Paid quite a lot in comparison with other hotels in the area which seemed nicer

My husband and I needed a stop-over near Cinque Terre prime season. We wanted something w/ parking and not too far from the highway. Hotel Nella hit both those points and offered A/C and a friendly staff.

Room was small and basic, but very clean. The hotel served our purpose and offered a more than fair value for money this time of year. That said, if you're looking to spend time in your room or want anything other than basic accommodations, it might not be the place for you. Also, as I said, a small room-- the shower was tiny to the point of being difficult for my 6'4" spouse. It wasn't a major for one night, but if we were staying for a longer period, would have been an uncomfortable annoyance for him.

Our fault for not pre booking, though very helpful and accommodating.
Rooms were spacious and very clean with all we could need.
Breakfast was plentiful and included in price.
Free Wifi and parking was a bonus
Set high above the town of Spezia it would take some work to get here without a car.
Didn't have dinner the night we were there and used the Pizza restaurant opposite.
Overall a friendly and pleasant experience.
Thank you
