We stayed two nights in Campiglia, not knowing that in wine season, the restaurants are closed due to the proprietors being busy making their wine. Being 30 minutes out of La Spezia we were stuck for options, so we ate at the only open place in this small, picturesque village - Piccolo Blu.
We were so pleasantly surprised!
For a town of just 113 people, this place is top class and a very cute little concept.
With a gorgeous open space out the back, filled with hammocks and picnic tables, the vibe here is friendly and relaxed.
They serve teas from all over, any kind of hot of cold drink and their snack boxes.
This is what is unique - the 'boxes' come in either sweet or savoury. They are home made bread shells that are then filled with a chosen mixture of fillings, ranging from whole grains to fruits to meats to delicious sauces.
We ate their twice - for lunch and dinner and enjoyed the freshness of these little 'boxes' as well as the super friendly service, great branding, decor and ambiance.
