We were convinced by friends to stay at La Spezia rather than on the Cinque
Terre itself because rooms were small and expensive, and so we stayed here and were pleased to be met by Manuela and shown a clean, spacious room just off the main street of this beautiful town. Manuela gave us tips on restaurants as we walked the few minutes to the apartment from the station and our visit to one of her recommendations later showed the value of a local's knowledge.
Room Tip: The walls are a little thin here so it is possible to be disturbed by those on the neighboring rooms...
