This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Genoa (Genova) and is easily accessible from the train station (walk or bus).

The hotel has about 16 rooms and each seems to have a different theme (our's was painted in bright colours). Our room was very large and the bathroom was reasonably spacious. The room was also very clean.

The owners are very pleasant and helpful both speak english.

The hotel provides free internet and also has a gym available. The televisions also receive english broadcasts.

It was a very pleasant stay.

The hotel cairoli in genoa is an ok hotel for a reasonable price. The lobby has quirky touches and the rooms are adequate for a base. The room was a good size, although some of the furnishings reminded us of a care home! On the plus side it was clean,the bathroom was large and the breakfast was reasonable. It also has a roof terrace which would have been nice if it had been sunny. It's main selling point is it's location. It's on a pedestrianised street (quiet, a rarity in Genoa) which leads to Via Garibaldi with its collection of beautiful palaces and galleries. The location is very central for exploring the old historic centre, the revitalised port area and all of the major attractions.
We stayed in Genoa for six nights and found it to be a characterful and vibrant city.

We stayed for four nights in the Cairoli at the end of March. We viewed rooms in the hotel which were fine but then they offered us a seperate apartment - just next to the entrance to the hotel - which had it's own front door, kitchenette etc. The hotel is ideally placed for seeing the sights of Genoa and the management are charming and most helpful. Breakfast was the usual continental style but adequate. The hotel was scupulously clean well presented and quiet at night. All in all for a middle of the road hotel you will not be disappointed with the Caroli. We also stayed at the Agnello D'Oro - also fine but a little further to walk from themajot attractions and the area is just a little sleazy at night. However the management there were also very very helpful and we woudl also recommend it.
