the pros: Its a beautiful old hotel with nice spacious rooms. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. Its near the principe station if your just coming into town for a day. you don't hear your neighbors much between rooms. The wood and metal otis elevator will time transport you into genoa's past. the staff is generally helpful. its in a safe part of genoa.
the cons: its near two major streets and a major outdoor bus terminal and train station is across the street so street noise is loud. the maids start early and make a racket -- I wouldn't choose this hotel if your going to be hitting the nightlife. because transportation is weird in genoa its hard to get back to the hotel via mass transportation after 9:00 so you may have to take a 20 minute walk form the main center to get back there or take a cab.
