“Five very good nights”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

We recently spent 5 nights at this hotel. From the moment we arrived it proved to be a very pleasant stay. Staff on reception were very friendly and courteous . Our room was excellent with one of the most comfortable and roomy beds we have ever slept in. Dining room was always well stocked with food and very clean. The seating was such that you were not cramped with other people. Although the hotel is in a very busy area, and there was constant traffic, there was very little noise. the hotel position is within easy walking distance of the town and port and very close to the railway station and buses. There is very little negative we could say about this hotel, however if there is one thing it would be the fact that we could not manage to turn down the air conditioning. We will certainly use this hotel again as we visit Genoa regularly.

Room Tip: We were on the 7th floor overlooking the railway station which was excellent

stayed in august 2012 for 1 week. The hotel has more than 20 years, so it's a little bit old already; the facilities are as old as the hotel, so don't expect much. The fees for internet access and parking are overrated (70 E for 1 week internet and 10 or 20 E for 1 night parking (!). As any hotel that you stay longer the breakfast tends to run out of options after a few days but the quality is good after all. The location is very good, city center, close to railroad station and 5 min walk till riviera.
P.S.: bathroom has Gianni Versace ceramic tiles, which says a lot about what this hotel used to be in his early years.

The thermostat in my room did not work. And it was really hot in my room---at the end of November!! So I ended up opening my window. And one of the latches on the window was broken. The decor of the room was average. The front desk staff was not all that friendly, except for just one older gentleman who was really nice. The funny thing is that the public areas of this hotel were gorgeous and well maintained.

It is highly unlikely I would stay at this hotel when I return to Genoa.

well loacted hotel close to the main railway station. Good public transportation to connect all over and a short walk along the shopping street to the main circle. Room are basic but the absence of airconditioning on a hot day in November was not happy. Room windows needed special keys to open. Fans not available. Rooms need some refurbishment.

Room Tip: rooms on the sunny side tend to get very hot.

Nice rooms, lobby and restaurant. Clean but a bit tired looking. Things didn't work here and there, free Wifi only for 30 Minutes in the lobby. Average breakfast, rates quite expensive. Multilingual staff.

Room Tip: Higher floors better due to busy road

Generally pleasant stay. Rooms was great, clean & spacious. Lobby and elevators a little tired looking. Insuficient parking for guestes. Had to pay OUTRAGEOUS parking fees nearby. Hallways are way too dark... at that price, you would think they could afford a little more wattage!

Room Tip: attemp to book your parking needs ahead of time if you can. Nearby parking is OUTRAGEOUSLY priced

the hotel is in a good location, breakfast is excellent, what i thought was this hotel is charging 5* prices for drinks when there a four star, 5 euros for a can of fanta, 11 euros for a pina colada, after spending two nights here when eventually checking out we was charged 12 euros city tax which i wasnt happy about, even thou online is didnt mention nothing about tax i would much rather be told about tax before i check in, i wouldnt stay here again this hotel is two hungry for your money! Also they rip you off with internet they tried explaining to me that internet is expensive all over italy after i have been to other places on holiday and its free, yes the internet at this hotel is free in the hotel but the speed of it is shocking, it took me 15 minutes to send one email, like other hotels they have a computer in the lobby but again rip you off for 3.50 euro for half an hour.
