“A little gem...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

This place, which is in a great spot just off the main piazza in Genoa, really made us smile. We found it a bit cramped at first, which it undeniably is, but once we had got comfortable in our seats, we really started to enjoy our dining experience.

Largely because of the close proximity of the tables, there is a fantastic, informal atmosphere, full of the locals’ chatter. The staff also made us feel really welcome, asking us where we from, what brought us to Genoa etc.

The pizza menu was extensive, and traditional combinations were supplemented by a really interesting specials board. How about pear, gorgonzola and walnuts...? It works by the way.

Whilst we were waiting, which was not for very long, we noticed the pizzas being delivered to our fellow diners....WOW..they were huge..maybe the biggest pizzas we have ever eaten!! And they tasted great..we really couldn’t think where we had a better pizza in 11 years of travelling to Italy. The bill came as a pleasant surprise too..absolutely excellent value for money.

We ate here on the first of a three night city break...and we ate here on the last night too. If you found yourself in Genoa, and you fancy a truly great pizza..you won’t go far wrong here!

“Pizzas: Fantastic value and impressive circumference”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Tasty and above all great value for money pizzas. Simple flavours, lovely thin base and seemingly endless. Casual place with a nice atmosphere.
They were happy to wrap up the remainder that we couldn't finish. I will be eating it on the train tomorrow morning - will only post follow up review should something out of the ordinary arise.

“Huge pizzas, Tiny tables”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2013

This place was packed the night we went, with little space to even enter/exit the table area. Pizzas were well-made and good value. Service friendly and accomodating. Location very convenient, just off of Piazza Ferrari. Tried the tiramisu for dessert - it was decent but not too memorable.

“Surprising discovery of real pizzeria in Genova”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

When I was introduced this pizzeria by a Genovian, I did not expect such a wonderful pizzeria! This small restaurant looked such a so-so restaurant from outside, So when I found out it in the street, I was hesitant to enter it. In addition, I had to wait half an hour due to a limited seats. But when I looked a chef who was devoted to make a big pizza in the glass sided kitchen, I decided to wait there. It was the best decision in Genova that day. Pizzas were so wonderful! Among them, pesto pizza was fantastic. It had rich flavor of cheese and pesto. I wished to eat other pizzas that other people ate beside me. But I was full of just one pizza. Moreover, the price was so reasonable. I strongly recommend this small pizzeria to the people who visited Genova.
