“Sandwiches to remember ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

You might be waiting for 15 minutes for a sandwich, but the guys are going to make the perfect one, even if you don't speak any italian.

“Buonissimi Panini!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

If you're Genoa and want to taste the best sandwiches, this is the place. A small place with some tables and seats outside. We went here for lunch and yes there was a queue but really worth the wait. There were other shops next to it that also serve Panini and they do have some dining customers as well and even had no queue on sight while people kept on extending the queue in Gran Ristoro. We had 'Bocconcini di cinghiale' (with wild boar meat) and 'Prosciutto di cervo' (with deer ham) Surely on our next visit to Genoa we'll be back to grab Panini here again!

“Take the risk-exceptional sandwiches!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2013

Thanks Tripadvisor people for recommending this gem of a place!

Ate here very inexpensively before heading (walking) to the Aquarium. It can be intimidating with the que and the locals, and the lack of English, so do try to avoid peak times (our mistake).

Went at the tail end of lunch rush - apologies to the locals for being the wide-eyed tourists holding up the lunch rush. That said, the owner was increadibly patient with us, taking time to let us sample different items to see if we liked them or not. Our Italian is non-exsistent, so the choices were overwhelming. Taking the advice from trip advisor, we wrote down the phrase (google translate can be wonderful) for "make me something delicious please". We were not disappointed!

Two sandwiches, we split (best way-more flavors). Hubby's had chicken and marinated/grilled veg; mine was beyond divine (get this!)-some sort of salami marinated in what could possibly be truffle oil with ricotta.

Our only regret was not ordering two more to go for supper that night, or had we a fridge to take on the train with us to Cinque Terre. They were that good. Up there with the best sandwiches I've ever eaten - and we're big Italian deli people at home.

“The best panini place in Genoa!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Unmatchable attention and service. You will not be disappointed. The man at the counter (I guess, the owner) took the time to suggest the best ingredients (over 150 choices) to match our taste. The paninos were delicious, just the right combinations. The 20 minutes wait in line was so worthy. One tip: avoid the lunchtime queue and go at 11 am.
