“The best part of our tour of Italy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

We had been recommended to this place and it didn't disappoint!! Vernazza is the best of the Cinque Terre villages in our opinion and this B & B was fantastic!!! Giuliano is wonderful and accomodating. The terrace high above the town overlooks the town and sea below, it is magical! We had incredible meals as well in the restaurants at the harbour! This place is a jewel. Do not pack heavy luggage though! Although Guiliano carried up one of our bags thankfully!

In planning our trip to the Cinque Terre, we looked up Camere Giuliano on Trip Advisor. As we read the reviews it sounded amazing. The reviews are accurate. Giuliano's craftsmanship is outstanding! The pictures don't even do it justice. While we were very impressed with all the carpentry, we thoroughly enjoyed talking to and spending time with Giuliano. What a great man! Very smart, witty, and funny. Made us feel part of his family. If you can handle walking up stairs, you should definitely stay here. Very peaceful, even for being near the train station.

Room Tip: We were in the room with an air conditioner, but we didn't need it. Cooled of a lot at night...

Stayed in Giuliano's town (he must own it, by the way!) and at his place on the hill Sept 7-8-9. Like living on a different planet with the host as the leader. A Texas couple and a Canadian couple, we booked two rooms here, 7 months in advance, as prep for our walking trip in Tuscany. What a great introduction to our first Italian adventure. He's cordial, casual, and hard working. Hike to Monterosso and other towns, but look forward to coming back to your room in Vernazza. Then just stare at a sunset and understand why Giuliano and all the other residents are so laid back and friendly.

Room Tip: Pack light if you can. He'll haul your luggage, but even with that, plan your daily outings with...

My husband and I spent spent three wonderful nights in Sophia's suite in Giuliano Camere's villa, high above the romantic town of Vernazza. He was an excellent host who takes great pride in his work and is passionate about continuing to make his visitors feel welcome when visiting his country and particularly his villa. We HIGHLY recommend a stay at Giuliano and the town of Vernazza, our favorite of the 5 villages. Don't bring heavy suitcases in this part of the world and be prepared to walk many steps to see the beautiful sights between villages. Thanks Giuliano; you should be so proud of your efforts after the terrible 2011 floods. We hope to return one day!

Room Tip: Any room is great as you get to use the terraces to relax after hiking!

We stayed at Giuliano's for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. The view from the terrace is beautiful and the room was very spacious and comfortable. (Ask for the Little Sofia Suite if you can get it). No breakfast is provided but a kitchen is available to make tea or coffee in the mornings and you can use the fridge as well to store any groceries you want to keep. Wifi is now available, but unfortunately the signal is weak from the rooms so you need to be near the kitchen to use it,. Giuliano was always available to offer any recommendations we needed. He also runs a restaurant in town if you need to find him for anything or want to drop in for a nice dinner. We had a great stay, and would definitely recommend staying here if you want a central location for exploring Cinque Terre with a personal touch.

Room Tip: The Little Sofia Suite was quite large with both a bedroom and a living room area.

We spent 3 wonderful days here. Giuliano gave us great advice. The location is spectacular, we had incredible evenings on the patio watching sunsets over the water. We highly recommend this place for any visit to the Cinque Terre.

This is a great place to stay, its run by a very hardworking man and he will do his best to make you feel comfortable. Its a cute place with a great view to overlook Vernazza, and the rooms are very nice inside. The scenery around the rooms are very nice, and the way down to the water is nice short walk. Thank you so much Giuliano!
