“Wouldn't stay anywhere else!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2011

And we've already recommended this place to friends. We loved apartment 2 ex6 in Riomaggiore. It was perfect for my husband, my teenage son, and myself. It was between 110 and 120 steps up from the train station (we each counted!), but you could take a sloping pathway most of the way instead of the steps. The view from the apartment was incredible! We could see the hills and the town (see photos). We could walk anywhere in town and the apartment is right by a castle that looms over the town.

Staying in the apartment and talking with the folks who manage it (and their friends!), we felt like locals instead of tourists. Riomaggiore was very convenient place to stay, and not as touristy as some of the nearby towns. Near the train station, there are several little markets with incredible fruit and bread. We got our staples there and cooked our own breakfast each day - really nice set up in the kitchen.

The apartment was very clean and roomy. It was even better than I had expected from the pictures - looked like it was brand new. It is a studio, but we had so much room, that we never felt the need to fold up the bed. It was also a very quiet place to stay.

Federico and her mother were wonderful hosts. We arrived in Riomaggiore and were met by Federico's mother who took us and our luggage up the very steep hill so we wouldn't have to carry our load. We were a group of 3 (my finance and my father) and we stayed in apartment 4. It was impeccably clean, had very large comfortable beds and lots of extra blankets if we needed them. The apartment is bright and large, would be perfect for a couple with kids. Riomaggiore is very small so even though this apartment is at the top of the hill you are very close to everything. On the first night we were quite tired and ate at the restaurant located just at the top of our stairs which was excellent. This apartment is incredible value for what it is and when I go back to Cinque Terre I know where I will be staying.

We stayed in apartment four for two nights. We had a terrace which overlooked Riomaggiore and the sea, a perfect setting. The apartment was very clean and well appointed. Tthe owners met us promptly upon our arrival and arranged car parking for us. We would definitely recommend this apartment, especially for families.

We stayed in apartment 5 for 5 nights and were very nicely surprised when we arrived. The family who manage the apartment were very welcoming even allowing for our lack of Italian. It is sometimes a worry booking accommodation over the internet but this was definitely not one of those occasions. The apartment had been recently renovated and was very clean and well organised. It had everything you could want in a self contained unit. The balcony with views over Riomaggiore and off to the hills was magnificent. Once we found out about the bus service, the steps weren't a problem either. Plenty of room for a couple. I would certainly recommend these apartments.

We stayed in Cademandin apartment 4 in Riomaggiore, a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment. Recently renovated, with good kitchen, nice bathrroms, decent sized bedrooms and living area. A steep walk to get there, but that appiles to most places in Riomaggiore. This apartment didn't have laundry facilities but there is a laundromat nearby. Good price, and easy to book over the internet. Excellent!

I stayed at Apartment 3 for 5 days before Easter. I loved the small apartment, it was impeccably clean, and the owner very friendly and welcoming. I think the bed was one of the best I have ever slept in! The kitchen had all that is needed to cook and bake. It's quite a climb to get to the apartment, the stairs are very steep, but so is most of Riomaggiore, which is a beautiful gem.

We have just returned from Italy and stayed in Apartment 4 for 7 nights. My husband and I travelled with our adult daughter so this apartment was just perfect. We each had our own bedrooms and bathroom and there was so much space to spread out. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It had everthying we could possibly need (except for a washing machine), even coffee, oil, vinegar etc. in the cupboards. The family who manage the apartments are lovely and very helpful - especially with carrying our luggage to the apartment when we arrived. The 80 steps from the street to our apartment were a challenge but we improved by the end of the week! I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone staying in Riomaggiore - a beautiful village in a lovely part of Italy. The cost was very reasonable. We also looked in apartment 5 which was also very nice - perfect for a couple but big enough for 2 couples.
